Question about alliance ROM. Does it work with nc2? Or do I need to be on nc4? Also, does it have an option to hide the airplane mode icon in the notifications?
It'll work fine on nc2. I think that option is there. But its been a while since I had my note 3.
Thanks for the kind words.
I plan to keep the Note 3 as a backup once I decide what I'll be running next (N6?) and it will probably melt at the end of eternity with Alliance build 2 on it
Why did you choose the Note 5 over the Note 6? Are custom roms being developed for the Note 5?
Best of luck in your future endeavors! Make sure you stay in contact so I know where you ended up

I can't remember the last time I had the pad lock at boot up. Either way, nothing to worry about. Funny how early on, people wanted the UNLOCKED padlock to show the world they were rooted, and lately people want to remove the UNLOCKED padlock so people DON'T know they're rooted
I don't use lock, just swipe. Instant open. Gravity Screen keeps my N3 secure in pocket.
Hope I'm not out of place by asking this question but maybe someone will answer. Is it possible to root and install SS on the Verizon Note 3 that's on 5.0?

Waking up screen from lock is slow to react, using HOME or POWER button. I have ROM and Domination theme flashed.
Any ideas?

Up and running for over 24 hours! No issues! Just need to figure out how to color the sound and Bluetooth icons.
UGH! HELP!
I had it all set up and was going to make a nandroid, so I have a base, in case I went to far down a rabbit hole with customization.
I forgot I was no longer on an open bootloader phone and chose POWER MENU>REBOOT>RECOVERY/SAFESTRAP and now its stuck in a bootloop of the blue letters in the upper left "RECOVERY BOOTING" and the Note 3 logo, even after a battery pull.
I'm so upset! Is there any saving my work or do I have to ODIN back?
ETA: After calming down enough to do a search, of coarse, I found the answer on xda.
Start in download mode and hen cancel. WAHLAH! It booted.

Now, the new question: I looked in the POWER MENU tab of Alliance Settings, but could find;
How do I get rid of the 4-way boot menu, so it just reboots after the power menu selection of REBOOT?
Thanks az, was thinking that it would be a no no, need a Dev Note 4 but they have gone crazy with the prices. I'm stuck without a rootable big Verizon phone...

Sell your Note 4, buy a NExus 6, pay $25 extra a month for two years OR for $349 on Amazon... I think going with the unlocked Nexus 6 is the route I am taking next month!
