No problems since lollipop 5.0.2. (No bricks anyways). But if it ships with lollipop, and you want to root, use the multirom build of twrp. For some reason units that ship with lollipop have issues with standard twrp (won't read any partitions).

I think it's just a gamble, albeit a worthwhile one. Have heard there is some difference regarding when and where it was manufactured, but haven't seen anything convincing. Got mine a year or so after release, just recently ran into a hardware issue.

I've had 4 of these go through my hands, (all 2nd hand,) and haven't ran into any real problems. On the odd occasion, 1 of touchscreens got unresponsive but a reboot sorted it out.

Compared to my Nexus 9 and former Nexus 5, I'd say the build quality is better.
