Just so everyone knows, Greenify has 3 modes

Non-Root Mode
Root Mode
Boost Mode

Boost mode can be used only with Xposed installed, as Greenify will install a Module for Xposed to enable some of the experimental features. However, a few features are limited to Donation Package, which i think, is worth every penny .

Also, there are a few extra things you can do with Greenify, but need manual activation:
  • Automator - Activated under Settings > General > Security > Device Administrators - this one handles the automated stuff
  • Accessibility - Activated under Settings > Device > Accessibility > Services - strangely, this one wont work with Samsung TTS, so you need to switch to Google TTS
  • Notifications - used to be activated at Settings > General > Security > Notification Access, but seems deprecated

Not just you…Nexus 5 with the same situation…
