I just had to replace my M8 via Asurian. Unfortunately, it comes with 5.0.1 pre-installed. What is the latest news on sunshine updates for the HTC One M8?

SunShine will work on all M8s, it will work without pre rooting on any m8 prior to 6.0. You should be cbe in the clear.

Oh thanks! Where do you have all that information posted; one of the Sunshine threads quoted you saying that Sunshine only supported up to 4.44. It's Verizon, if that helps.

Threads and posts can get old, so does the info contained in them. Most up to date news is typically in the change long on our download page

It is save to pay via card. Did it myself.

It won't perform a factory reset or anything like this.

Hey,
I have my HTC m8 Verizon version. And im about to S-Off it using Sunshine Version 3.2.3.
I cheked many posts here and tuts and im not sure a hundred percent that Sunshine can permanent root (or S-Off) my Verizon HTC.
So is it possible now to S-off it ? and if it is, do i just follow the instructions in the link bellow and skip the the Kingroot step ?

Just run sunshine, no need for kingroot. It will do s off and unlock. Then you can flash twrp from fastboot and flash SuperSU from twrp
