Yep. Pretty much everyone on a ROM prior to 6.0.1 because the translation for those symbols is ROM side not font side.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using XDA Premium HD app

Anybody know the best way to detect if the device is running a Samsung 6.0+ rom? I need to be able to differentiate stock/stock-based software from AOSP-based roms, so I can apply a fix for Marshmallow on Samsung.

Maybe you can check data in build.prop with your script? There should be something like ro.product.manufacturer=samsung and ro.version.release=6.0.1. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2503997

But that would also be true for AOSP roms, as the manufacturer is still 'samsung'.
Build.prop might be a good idea though. Could anyone send me a stock build.prop from a Samsung S6/S7/Note 5?

Doesn't work on Android n developer preview 2 on Nexus 6. I used this app before Android n and it worked perfectly.
