I think we have a SW bug here, indeed as soon as root is requested , chances are almost 100% the phones reboots. It feels like a kernel panic. Can anybody provide logs ? FYI the one build before last is stable.

Sorry for late response.
I enabled root for apps and adb in developer options and tested root access on SlimCenter which works fine.

If you have issues again please provide dmesg and logcat (syslog app does a great job).

Is it still true or just forget to update? There is so many builds after 6.7.
Is anyone still using this rom? Which is the Best (most bug free) build of this rom?

I prefer the "one but last" new build as it is stable, updated well and for daily use, which is :
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24352994023709385

If you have some spare time (not married, no kids) , please also test the last build, and make logcats for the developer. The problem people are having is spontaneous reboots related to root acces for installed user apps (like root explorer).

last build with suspected root related bug (at this moment) is :
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762635997586

Total list (you probably have already) :
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=14868

I'm really sorry I couldn't contribute more, I really have no time to test the other ROM right now.

Have been using this rom for a few days now, so far so good, exept for signal strength info (About Phone - Status), it's just showing static value.
How can I install Xposed framework on this ROM? Change kernel or something?

I can confirm there's something wrong with Slim-golden-4.4.4.build.9.1-UNOFFICIAL-20160411-0001.zip - As indicated, root actions generally force a reboot. I've also noticed however, this .zip tend to skip the welcome introduction/setup phase and typically dumps me into an unconfigured stock shell (its great in a way, I manually stitch everything up after the 'welcome' process due to ridiculous WIFI and account passwords...).

It took me a while to realise what @vleutmans said - I half wondered if my GApps installs were bogus or something. Often the restarts happen x seconds after the action, so some of my Titanium backup restores would work or half-complete. Google Play services reliably crashed regularly however. I was typically using gapps-444-base-20160515-1-signed.zip which I think was in an XDA thread somewhere. Sorry it's been a while since I did the initial investigation and downloads.

I finally managed to get SysLog and set TB to create an update.zip installer for it and I've managed to collect these logs (one of the zip files was corrupt, but SysLog managed to copy the files so I've just manually created it).
https://s3.amazonaws.com/assorted-ba...re+zipping.zip
https://s3.amazonaws.com/assorted-ba...5-23_07.58.zip
- it seems the phone only rebooted when actually grabbing the event or logcat logs (or the 2nd time I got lucky and it just didn't restart for some reason?)

I hope that helps! I'm happy to keep fiddling and can provide clearer explanations of what's going on (I'd love to see some current security patches, I find the new version UIs too sluggish to use)

That's normal, the setup screen is part of gapps, if you flashed and It's missing then something gapps side is wrong.

Thx for the logs, I'll take a look once i have some air to breathe once my golden is back.
