Update!!!

Here's an update for testing. It should work on stock 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), Nougat and CM14.1.

I've modernized the installer to work properly on Nougat, and got all the options working again.

Color control now works instantly, thanks to @osm0sis for figuring out how to get values to apply. I updated it to work with the standard KCAL interface, and it also works with cyanogenmod's livedisplay.

I didn't push this to the app yet (except for cm14.1). I would like feedback first to make sure everything works correctly.

app could not download the kernel on cm14.1 (download error) - but downloading it from the website and installing it worked without issues in TWRP. Aroma also worked fine.

Have I seen it right - there is only one zip for all platforms now?

Works great on cm14.1, fixed LiveDisplay, which didn't work out of the box on 14.1 update. However it has disabled the magnetic cover, even though I didn't check that in the installer. I removed my pattern on lock screen, but the cover still doesn't lock the screen. Any fix?

Magnetic cover works here on Pure Nexus 6.0.1 just fine with the EX 6.03 kernel. Might be a CM thing?

edit - did you try and uncheck / check it in the EXKM app?

It might be a cm thing, but others had the same problem above it seems, though I didn't find a solution in the thread. I don't have the app available sorry :/

Just enable the magnetic cover from EX app. For some reason, after flashing the kernel, it got disabled. It's no big deal.

I have just done a clean CM13 20160820 install (flo) followed by installing ElementalX-N7-5.18 from TWRP (latest). It boots fine and shows that the new kernel is used HOWEVER it does not stick to 83% charge (which I set it to in /etc/elementalx.conf). There also is no ElementalX log file in /data/local/tmp so I suspect the kernel is not working correctly. What steps should I take to fix this?

elementalx.conf is gone, that method no longer works on Nougat.

Just make a note of anything that doesn't work properly in the new installer and I will fix it.

I just want to give it a few days to make sure we catch everything.

Can anyone chime in about DT2W or S2W working with Nougat? I went back to MM to keep these features, but if they are working with Nougat I'll happily return.

For some reason magnetic cover sensor was deactivated after installing latest version though I didn't tick that on aroma. Had to turn it back on in EXKM for it to work again.
Installed on AOSP 6.0.1

Does the latest 6.03 version work on CM13? If not, what is the recommended version for CM13? I am now running 5.18 but bttery life extender does not work.

6.03 is not for cm13, but works for everything else

Short question, can I use the permissive zip from the op on my Nexus 6 too, or is it bind to the nexus 7 and or to the elementalx nexus 7 kernel. Does it even work with other kernels ???

Thank for supporting this old device. ? Your kernel makes cm based Roms usable in this device. Roms from cm for the newest updates and your kernel for battery and performance. Loving the new update so far and its amazing.
