I tried to use the download file that runs 90,320KB and it gives me an error saying that another instance of the virtual machine is running. Anyone know how to resolve this?

Looks like some DNS names are blocked internally (ex.: profile.microsoft.com):

One thing I have noticed in all the WP7 videos, IE is never shown in full screen mode. Is there a setting in the emulator for that?

Rotate the phone to horizontal, and the buttons and address bar disappear!

i install win7 on my dell laptop & tried the emulator again & it works (prev failed on a virtualbox win7).
but the emulator is awefully slow as compared to some reports online that this build was much faster. reason could be im running on a older slower laptop, intel c2d t7250, 2gb ram. anyone feeling the emulator slow?

you'd have to use a new build of the Zune Software Client, I don't know if that is floating anywhere yet.

The new build of Zune Software is designed for syncing data between the PC and the Developer Phone Devices. I do not believe any connection can be made between the Software and the Emulated Device.

Active Sync on the desktop is dead. However, I'm pretty sure that the engine that WP7 uses to do their syncing is Active Sync, although users would never know it. Also, "Exchange Active Sync" (I know it's not really what was being referred to) lives on.
