Lightning Red 845 v1.6 synthesis

Specs

- superior combination of the cr4zy, solid and extreme edition
- it contains all applications of the solid version, but you can uninstall the followings: alarmclock, browser, calculator, calendar, camera, filemanager, mms, music and youtube
- launcher pro changed to adw, of course you can uninstall this too
- CPU max frequency reduced to 633 for better stability, JIT enabled
- changed theme to esspresso with CB and fancy fly animation
- removed autorun.iso disk and replaced for a small one, you can download the original version from here


Lightning Red 845 v1.5 extreme

Note: doesnt work at 691 MHz if you already made the "malaysian something" as seen on V8 thread
If you want to try 1.5 extreme then restore the original rom (you can find here), after that you can start the whole custom rom installation process from the beginning

- based on v1.2 Cr4zy edition
- added graphic patch 1.4
- changed the battery notification, if you dont like it flash the graphic patch v1.4
- enabled JIT
- added OC kernel, the processor can run at 691 MHz now, original source by kallt_kaffe

This is NOT a ROM, its a patch for LR845 v1.2 both crazy and solid, and only changes some visual elements of the LR 845.

Installation: Flash like a ROM!

- improved bootanimation quality

- changed bootanimation, from Scribble 2.0 to a modded android bios

- replaced the original DroidSans fonts

- changed battery style to a more minimalist version

of course you can uninstall these apps and change to whatever you want

- changed fonts to Comfortaa for better localization
- integrated key assign, only the power button wakes up the phone
- replaced touchpal, for localization download and install your language pack from here, must reboot after the installation
- added Circle Battery mod and changed theme to Esspresso


LighningRed845 v1.0

Specifications

- the ROM is deodexed, the base was the Vodafone 845 Mr Edition v1.6.2
- the ROM doesnt contain fancy widget and document to go
- theme: Elegance, original idea by Jedipottsy
- fonts changed to DaxCondensed
- clock color changed to white


Themes customized by me for Vodafone 845

These are NOT ROMS, these are only themes for LR845, and they probably work on Mr edition and V8 too. BUT: The transparent ones only work fully with ADW and Zeam Launcher at now.

Note: In the home's preference menu must be uncheck the Wallpaper / Wallpaper hack point.

Installation: Flash like a ROM!

Black clock - changes the clock color to black, for light bars

White clock - changes the clock color to white, for dark bars

Note: after the clock color installation the boot takes long, dont panic!

How to get sense like homescreen



- download this package - it contains the modified launcherpro, two dock backgrounds and fancy widget

- install the apks

- copy to the sd card the dock background images

- change the dock background to the desired one in launcherpro's preferences

- add the fancy widget to the desktop

- enjoy



Other "customizations":

- wake up patch, after this patch you can wake up your phone with other buttons too, flash like a rom
- fonts patch, restore the original fonts to your phone, flash like a rom
- vodafone theme for ADW launcher, just the app launcher and market icon changed, based on ADW Sticker Album theme by Dan Josiah

- optical touchpad disable patch, with oveclocked kernel at 633 MHz, flash like a rom

Installation guide

Install Superboot (via Windows PC)

- Download Superboot: DOWNLOAD and extract to a directory

- Enter recovery mode by turning your device on while holding down 'volume down' and 'End call' then powering on your device.

- WINDOWS - double click 'superboot-windows.bat' (ensure the V845 is connected via USB)

Note: The hourglass (zandloper) stays on the home screen

- WINDOWS - double click 'superboot-windows.bat'
Phone will startup, seems to hang and eventually reboots itself.

Root the V845 (via Windows PC)

- Download AmonRA Recovery 1.6.2: DOWNLOAD OR download Clockwork Recovery 1.8.1.4 DOWNLOAD and extract the zip file

- Enter recovery mode by turning your device on while holding down 'volume down' and 'End call' then powering on your device.

Note: The hourglass (zandloper) stays on the home screen

- WINDOWS PC - (ensure the V845 is connected via USB) double click 'install-recovery-windows.bat'

- Remove battery and turn on your phone

Now your phone is rooted.

Custom ROM install

- Download the custom ROM.

- Copy the Custom ROM zip file to the root of the SD card trough your phone, if you dont want to use app2sd

- Shut down the phone and enter recovery mode by turning your device on while holding down 'volume up' and 'Start call' then powering on your device.

The following part is not important if you dont want to use app2sd!

Choose “Partition sd card” (control via DPAD):

- “Partition sd card”

- swap-size = 0 MB

- Ext2-size = 512 ext

- FAT32-size = Remainder (automatic setting)

- Confirm formatting/partitioning via DPAD (20 sec.)

- SD:ext2 to ext3

- Confirm EXT upgrade via DPAD (5 sec.)

- Volume Down to go to main menu

- Choose Power off

- Add the sd card in a card reader and copy the Custom ROM zip file to SD card (FAT32 partition).

- Again enter recovery mode by turning your device on while holding down 'volume up' and 'Start call' (green) then powering on your device.

Continuation of the installation process:

- Go to “wipe” where you select:

- Wipe data/factory reset

- Wipe Dalvik-cache

- Wipe SD:ext partition - this is also unnecessary if you dont want to use app2sd

Confirm each step above via DPAD

- Volume Down to go to main menu

- Choose “Flash zip from sdcard” and if everything is okay you can select the Custom ROM zip file. Confirm via DPAD to begin the install

- Choose Power off

Restart your phone and that’s it. You can use your custom ROM.

Note: First time the boot may take longer than usual.

Thank you for deodexing Mr.Edition ROM! I was trying to do it also, but I haven't been succesfull.

One note for users:
If your language use some special characters (like Czech language - čžř etc.), you should rewrite fonts included in this ROM (/system/fonts/) by the original ones from MR.Edition. Do it before you flash this ROM or use adb to replace them after flashing it. Fonts in this ROM don't contain all the letters.

with TypeFresh tool you can easily change your fonts / available on the market

by the way sorry about that i will change the font with a better version, what contains the special characters in 1.1

nice rom, using it now. one thing is some fonts are dark when they should be light. apart from that, it's really good, thanks.
