So did this this "someone" give you a solution regarding the non A2DP sound through a mono BT headset on the Jam? If so then any chance of sharing the news? I am not after sound quality myself as I only listen to audio books. I simply want any mono sound from the music player on my JAM through my generic mono BT headset. If anyone else has achieved this then please share ...

That thing is gorgeous. My only gripes are short battery life and no lcd display. I have the Sony HBH-662 and can't imagine buying something without some kind of display.

Does anyone know of something like this for BT 2.0? (I'm assuming that BT 2.0 is compatible with BT 1.x).

You may think that thing is gorgeous but for me, having wires on a wireless device defeats the object of bluetooth.

There is a list of A2DP headsets lower down this page

Some more are here

Another case of preference I guess, for me, I don't like a significantly noticable component continuously stuck to my ear and much rather prefer these clip style ones :P

While I have the Motorola HT820, I would also like something smaller and more discrete for when I'm dressed for business rather than for sport.

Ideally, the ear buds would be small like on the Sony EX-71

but this will do as well.

How is the Bluetake more discrete? It's huge. I DO agree with your comment about the wire on a wireless but at least I can hide that clip. What I wanted to do was ditch my Sony HBH662 and the head phones that I modded by combining it to one device.

Compared with the "street style" 4 star ghetto-general HT-820, the Bluetake is very discrete.
It also comes in black and deosn't have twin blue lights flashing on the ears.

And i've been v. cautious. Upgraded my i-mate jam to 1.12; installed stack checked it worked with other devices. Jabra BT200 headset - OK. Ambeon GPS with Tom Tom 3 - OK. It's wasn't some cruel joke.

So I went ahead and ordered an i.tech (BlueBand) because so many others had reported sucess with i.tech - otherwise might have ordered a Bluetake BlueWalker MP02 (25% cheaper on Amazon - less risky).

Bought it; Got it; Paired it OK; Showing up in audio drop down. White headset icon showing. Great.

Played audio in WMP and nothing in headset - all audio coming through speaker on phone.
Well, I bit the bullet and hard reset  . Now it works - sounds great, no signs of skipping yet!!!!!

I think this was mentioned earlier in these posts, but here is the link that I used to download the BT Audio exe to add the audio gateway to the Jam. I tried it, but could not get it to work. If anyone has success, please let us know:
