Running setprop at startup

I want to use custom dns for 3g. I've found that you can use some setprop commands to set them but they're not used until you restart network (disable data and enable). Also they're reset when I restart. Does Android have anything similar to autoexec.bat? Is it possible to run setprop commands on startup, before the data/apn/network/etc initialization?

why not modify/add the properties to any of the .props?
