I've only skimmed through the logs, so have probably missed a lot of stuff, but it sounds to me like they've managed to write to the eMMC, but still have a load of work to make it easy/repeatable.

they've already figured that out also. its been made more stable and works its been repeated this def works.

my question is that, did the source code released by HTC had a big play in this accomplishment?

If so, I think we can give a tip of the hats to HTC as well...

No way because scotty and half the devs from #g2root already reverse engineered it 2 days before the code was released.
