Hi everybody, I’m new here. That is going to be my first post and I’m so sorry if I will bother you
My friend in Europe give me a gift, MDA vario 2 aka HERM300. At first the device work good, the problem begin when I do hard reset, after that the device did not detect network, no calls, no sms, no internet. I t keep saying|” unknown sim status only emergency call can be made without a pin
At boot :
M 05. S 04. B 06. D 1.2. NO SGM
In bootloader
HERM 300 IPL-1.01 HERM 300 SPL-I.04
Device information
ROM version 1.21.110.3
ROM date 06/19/06
Radio version none
Protocol version none
So I called my friend about it, she told me to find this forum maybe I can get some help, I spend a lot of time reading threads and wiki at this forum and I really got confused. Problem is that, I’m not familiar with computer and software stuff. As you see my English is not good plus technical computer language make me confused. I wanted to bring MDA to someone expert in my country but it seems like no one can fix it, It seems like I don’t have a choice than to fix it by myself
Please can anyone try to teach me step by step how to fix it (assume you are teaching someone who know nothing about it), what software I m supposed to download? How to run it to device, (eg I downloaded Hard-SPL but when I open it, there is many files.) I read a lot about Hard-SPL, HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock. Upgrade and I downloaded the software but I don’t know how to run it to my device. I’m using Hp laptop with window xp, I connect via usb cable, Activesync.
I know it sound crazy, but real need to bring my device back to life, I don’t know if I make it right but I’m sure I tried
So please you can pm or send me e mail paulsshani@yahoo.com.
Thanx in advance

Default bricked herm 100

i have a bricked herm 100, spl 1.04, the S.O. stills intact (sometimes boot)
but the radio is corrupted and the radio bootloader isn't acepting comands (it hangs when i try to flash a radio rom with the usb or the micro sd... near the 22o 40% )

what things i need to post to get a solve to my problem?

i have already installed PB and the linux flasher, and are ready to work (also have mtty and usb status, my hermes havn't bad sectors in the rom)

after doing a "mtty erasing", flashing a imalaya rom and put an original htc rom...
my phone now bots ignoring the "No gsm" thing...
but i still can't flashing the radio...
the RUU throws "conection error" when it starts to flash

Now
IPL = 1.01
Spl- 1.40 olipro
(wm6)

i guess i have a type "a1" brick or b2 brick...
my phone sometimes crash... but when i reset the phone... its all ok.

(as far as the unbricking wiki guide says... i need a 1.09 boot)

Default Trinity Brick 1a

My trinity (P3600) test device have the same problem:

No CID, NO RADIo , NO GSM, NO IMEI

So , it's a 1A Brick.

I have token many hours to find a solution, but nothing.

I'm happy only for the fact that i have build a SPL with Rbmc command unlocked for trinity (thanks to Pof).
** When someone--anyone--helps you, give them a THANKS!

Thumbs up finally back to normal

Hello all ..,,.

THIS IS MY STORY (sorry for my English)
recently I have managed to make my device back to normal.
My previous device also has the same problem stuck at welcome screen, and device also show "no gsm" SoftBank X01HT my device

This info on my device (when having problems)

HERM200
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.09

I also do every way, flashing using the SD card (show 00028002 & 00068002), remove the batteries and wait a moment and then enter again, using shipped rom, change the radio version, and others. but nothing hapen. so finally I decided to send it to service center. but they say my phone has a problem on the motherboard, the motherboard must be replaced.
I really did not expect the price of motherboards. I think it was worth 220$ in my country. after knowing that then, I decided to not fix it and leave it for 2 months.

after 2 months I was very curious. and finally decided to try again.
this time I kept reading and tried, read and try it again.
AND FINALLY ,,.,.., I DID make it back to normal.

THIS IS WHAT I DO

- Put devices at bootloader mode
- Connect device to pc
- Open mtty
- And I try this:

(REMEMBER, DO NOT COPY PASTE)

USB> set
USB> set 14 0
Write Nand Success

(Do not ask what it is, what purpose, and intent of the article above. Because I really do not understand and do not know what the intent and purpose of this article. if you want to know more about the writing on the top you can simply ask to POF because I'm sure he's more understanding about the writing on top. And as I said before I JUST TRYING TO READ AND CONTINUOUS)
finally there are signs that my efforts will be successful. "No gsm" lost
after that I waited for 15 minutes, then comes the welcome screen (this time not stuck) and then I followed the next instructions from the device.

after I realized this time I managed to direct me to do:

- CID unlock using HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a.
- Then HARDSPL using Hard-SPL-V7.
- After that I changed the rom using Schaps_WM6Pro_Hermes_4.31_WWE_Full

(I do all three things above by way of flashing via SD card. and I'm very grateful to POF and others who have much give the information to us in these threads)

My phone is now back to normal.and this is my device info :

HERM200
IPL-1.01

HERM200
SPL-1.40.olipro

one suggest from me, keep reading and trying 
once again sorry for my english, cause I use google to translate this

Default Too much expensive

Hakim thanx for the link, but i think to order motherboard from this site for $220 is too much expensive.
i think with the same amount i can buy 2 used hermers from ebay. that is why i prefer to buy a broken one so i can use it as spare parts.
