Stock Froyo 2.2 performance fix

If you installed official Froyo 2.2 update.pkg and find your Streak slow and laggy:

1. Put update zip on your SDCard
   • For 309 update use http://codex.xiaoka.com/pub/streak/update-3.09.2.zip
   • For 315 update use http://codex.xiaoka.com/pub/streak/update-3.15.2.zip
   • For 318 update use http://codex.xiaoka.com/pub/streak/p...ate-3.18.1.zip
2. Flash 2.5.0.1-streak-clockworkrecovery using fastboot
3. Install update zip using recovery

This update installs custom kernel, custom build.prop and performance tweaking post_boot.sh script.
It will not erase your system, userdata or anything else. It just replaces some files.

thanks guys, with fards tweaks alone I coulnt get over mid 800s, applied this fix and set cpu ~ 1100mhz and quadrant scores topped the list at 1411!

is setcpu 1.9 safe?

Can we get some better instructions? Im running factory 2.2 update.

Broke Wifi.

Will not enable, in settings it simply says "error".

I tried a factory reset and a few reboots.

Suggestions?

Performance is phenomenal but lost Wireless

Wow its quick. Response is sweet, but wireless no longer works.

Just shows "Error" everytime I try to start it.

Rebooted and no change.

Should I reflash stock amss?

I hope I won't lose the fix.

Tried to edit my other post, but fail.

In "about", it lists Wifi as having no mac address.

Not sure if that helps with a debug.

This is amazing, BUT, no wifi, and my APN settings were wrong for my carrier ( Rogers Wireless ) so i changed them, and 3G will not come back on. I know the settings are correct I have done it 100 times.

I forgot to include the kernel modules in the update.
