I read that this is a problem from android 4.3. Is there a workaround or will I just have to wait for kitkat?
I really need it to be able to write on the SD card cause I have some apps that rely on that.
Please help. Thanks

Isn't this a result of 4.3 disabling that feature? You have to root the phone, and edit a file to allow the media_rw group access. There are tutorials out there to explain in more detail.
