[Q] Recording Androids Audio from gameplay to PC for Game reviews?
I'm trying to start doing some Android game reviews with my Galaxy S3 but I've run into a roadblock..
I needed a way to record my screen so I worked up the nerve to root my phone and can now use the Screencast app, thing is it does not record the phones audio... It has an option to record Mic input but not the systems audio for instance from whatever game is running.
So I have a Aux line that I plugged into my phones Headphone jack and into my Line in on my Pc and tried recording the audio using audacity but the audio quality was so horrible I could not even think about using it for anything, tons of static and screeches and just a plain mess.. I also tried using the Mic jack of my Pc and that was a same.
So I did some google searching and I can't seem to find any information on this?? either I am really bad at searching or this is not a very discussed topic.
The only thing I found was an older thread talking about using "AOA Service Airplay on Android: app to stream the audio over wifi and using " Shairport4w" to receive it on the PC to record.
Are there any better options? Why is the Aux line not working? Is the signal from the phones headset jack not compatible with a line in on my Pc or Mic in?
Is the air play my best option?
