I'm no so sure about that. I thought I saw a post saying this is using Slimkat as a base, in which case any kernel that is compatible with the base should work. If that isn't true, than I would avoid non-MIUI kernels.

Originally it was slimkat based, but now the bar has changed to a touch wiz base, which is why certain TouchWiz features now work, but i withdrawal not count on any other kernel working with Miui. Typically the kernel is modified for Miui.

I had asked since its on a TW base now. I did try a dirty install some time back(custom kernel flash), but it didn't fully boot. So maybe not then. ROM is good, and stable on the T-Mobile Note 3, installed with Philz.

There's actually an aosp build and a twiz base build. Both are obviously very similar. Twiz base at this time does have access to custom kernels and that fixes the paid app bug that was prevalant on the current miui builds. Otherwise LTE not sticking after a reboot, was basically the only major bug I'm remembering besides the paid app thing that has been hashed out. Its super fluid, and the twiz base allows for some twiz features to tag along in the build..

Hey... Where can I find the TouchWiz based build for the N900T? You said Paid APPS now works? Which custom kernel fixes the paid apps issue? Also, does NFC work yet? I'm still on a N9005 build and paid apps and NFC are not working for me.

My Paid apps work now after flashing the custom kernel. Does NFC work yet? I searched that thread for NFC keyword and nothing came back. Does your NFC work?
