Default [Q] Not really rooted? SU can't update binaries

So when I updated my maxx to jb, everything went swimmingly. Of course, when I tried to do my husband's I messed it up (Freudian?).

I used droid razr utility 1.82 to root ICS and install voodoo. But I forgot to wipe the phone before I flashed JB (oops). Voodoo seems to have restored root. But I couldn't install safestrap. That was when I went into SU and realized I had also forgotten to update the binaries (oops again). SU now fails to update the binaries.

Any advice on how should I go about fixing this?

How about reboot, then try again.

You mean just wipe then flash jb again? That was my first thought, but I guess I wanted to make sure that I shouldn't uninstall anything or do something else before I try again. I know there can be small things that cause problems.
