The instructions say no such thing. If this is a required step, you might want to mention it in the tutorial. I'm sweating right now because I sure didn't flash a 2nd time, but I did follow the directions and continue to "fastboot oem boot" and I've been looking at the HTC quietly brilliant screen for WAY too long.
Code:6.) Code: fastboot flash zip <appropriate zip filename from above> After a while, You should see the following error “FAILED (remote: 92 supercid! please flush image again immediately)” 7.) Immediately issue the following command: Code: fastboot oem boot
UPDATE 1: Got tired of waiting so I rebooted by holding power and next time around it booted so and I was able to continue.
UPDATE 2 (~3:08AM): A while later... Still no S-Off. Everything looks to be working as expected accept I was getting error 99 and based on recomendations I flashed to a "stock" ROM (here) and tried again. This time I get error 92 AND soffbin3 prompted me for root so I figured I was golden, but bootloader STILL shows S-ON. Per advice from IRC I also tried to "fastboot oem writecid 11111111" before "fastboot flash zip ...". DNA Guys sol?
UPDATE 3 (~5:05AM): I'm at a complete loss. Here's my last attempt for the night after flashing a new kernel and modules based on THIS post and I'm still S-ON. Touchy ADB drivers aren't helping matters. Please advise.

UPDATE 4 (~5:52AM): In case I was missing something obvious I've spent the last hour with some guy on IRC who has a serious superiority complex (guess saying as much is redundant to "on IRC") and aside from adding one step to wipe fastboot cache, he just looped me through all the steps I'd already done at least 8 times and I'm still in the exact same position I was when I started. "fastboot oem boot" resets my device then it just hangs there. Apparently this is what's stopping me though. I've noticed quite a few others mention this issue but am yet to see a guaranteed solution. If anyone figures this out, you'll likely help a LOT of DNA owners.
Now that I've given up most of my sleep and have nothing to show for it personally, I'm hoping to catch a wink and let someone else use all that I've reported here to pick up the ball and run with it. If someone finds the solution and is willing to drop me a PM, I'd be grateful. Will be too busy with wife and kids to sift through new posts any time soon (hence doing this when I should be sleeping).
Best of luck to the rest of you.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip PL8320000-DNA.zip
fastboot boot DNA-rescue.img
adb reboot bootloader
Every instance so far where someone has had this issue AND succeeded seems to require AT LEAST wiping data, but sometimes as much as an RUU flash to stock, and at worst, a complete RUU, re-lock, and start from scratch as if the phone was fresh out of the box.

Why do you people keep insisting this? Because the OP "demanded" that nobody do it? That won't hold water and so far I can't see any reason a one-click can't be made. It might not be safe and since only the noobs would "need" it, it's likely a bad idea, but there are those like myself who will often create such scripts because they end up being useful for any number of reasons and I'll be damned if someone things that in an OPEN DEVELOPMENT community, that something like a SCRIPT won't be released because someone said so.
Your reply to this person is offensive on so many levels. You could at least take time to explain yourself (or link to such an explanation).
ATTN: If you are on a DNA, PLEASE WAIT BEFORE ATTEMPTING!!
Something is not right, the method is not working regardless of if you took the OTA or not.
Beanups will need to look into this.
