Default Notification help

Hey guys, I've had this weird problem for awhile where I can get an icon like normal in my notifications bar but nothing is there in the pull down. So like now I have an email, but when I pull down to tap and open, nothing is there. Super duper frustrating. Anyone know a fix?

Sent from the best d*** phone I've ever used
Devices:

HTC Aria, CM9 S-OFF } Screen Cracked

HTC OneXL, Changes too often S-OFF

I've seen the ghost email notification, I believe it sounds notification sound too.
When it comes in, it shows a new email then disappears upon touching it.

I've noticed this about three times.

We'll see how it goes here with different rom.
Testing three roms for a daily driver helps at times for things like this.
