What sort of updates? If you dont mind telling

i have rewrite all script with following advantage :

1. auto detect and mount ext2/ext3/ext4 file system(ext4 if supported by kernel)
2. sdext partition will get checked/fixed automatically on boot
3. sdext partition will get mounted /data mount point when boot

point 2 and 3 should make it stable enought.

awesome, hopefully we can have larger sizes and no performance decreases (was the main issue)
any ETA when the rewrite will be complete?

guys this won't work on apps2sd roms STOCK based roms only!.....have tested it and used it on as many roms as i can...apps2sd roms may give you increased memory but seriously ****ed up afterwards in different ways. stick to data2whatever on apps2sd roms.

anyway slight increase in memory gives u back around 10% extra....but nothing to shout about, but far more stable on ext3, not much lag from my experience, non on my own rom...vast improvement though..will be adding this to my rom thread..

once you have flashed it onto the phone and its working then yes, by all means. but as the file is small anyway i keep them all in 1 folder on the SD card...so when i flash a new ROM I'm doing i just open folder and flash...without worrying if i have it on the SD or not

Something strange happen, after i flashd the file i Take off sd card and when i Return it
many program are sttoped (force close)...
Excused my bad Language

put the file you removed back then. you will probably find you will have to reflash the ROM again from scratch.
please don't use red caps/bold in a post unless your using it in the OP as a warning. it does look rather rude they way you have written it

U should NOT take off the sdcard while your phone still powered on.if you want to pull out the sdcard, power off your phone first.

THIS SCRIPT IS MADE BY MY FRIEND, puppeth13, ALL CREDITS GOES TO HIM

    20120113054405.png

    1. make sure your sdcard has been partitioned in ext2

    2. go to cwm recovery, wipe data, cache and dakvik cache. Reboot.

    3. Install busybox, and choose the version v1.17.1

    4. now go to cwm recovery again.

    5. flash htc-data2sd sdcard

    6. Reboot

    * now check your internal storage.
    * this script is made only for Salsa, can be used also for Wildfire S.
    * REMEMBER, Make sure you have partitioned your sdcard using ext2 format and BusyBox v1.17.1 installed on /system/xbin

    UPDATE :

    htc-data2sd-ext3.zip

Actually im using same sd card n setting 700MB ext3. Its running fine when its reach about 600MB further than that it will turn into slugs lol

Sent from my HTC Salsa C510e using Tapatalk 2

i did some extensive testing on this lol, found 500mb to be a safe usable average on this type of sd card. if you can get more then fine lol, but i set recommends only from my own tests to help others out. its entirely the users choice but we cannot help if you don't listen to advice lol

    Updated htc-data2sd.zip

Here is updated data2sd.zip for HTC Salsa and HTC Wildfire S.

    How to use it :
    1. flash CWM-Recovery 5.0.2.6 from CWM Recovery v.5.0.2.6 in English
    2. Backup all your sdcard data
    3. enter CWM-Recovery and make partition of your sdcard(this is the easiest way to partition the sdcard)
    4. reboot your phone and copy all you data back to sdcard
    5. copy htc-data2sd.zip to the sdcard as well
    6. reboot to recovery and install htc-data2sd.zip

    it's already included busybox-1.17.1
the included busybox is sololy used for the script,so there will be no problem installing diffrent version of busybox on your device.
your sd-ext partition will be formated to ext2,therefore all data on sd-ext will be lost.

    htc-data2sd.zip download link

    UPDATE :

    htc-data2sd-ext3.zip download link

For OP : please update the 1st post and download link

    Img files including cwm recovery

    ALL RUU FOR HTC SALSA

    USE THIS COMMAND :

    fastboot flash system system.img
    fastboot flash boot boot.img
    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

i replace all recovery.img files with the cwm recovery. so when you flash recovery.img, it means you are flashing the cwm recovery.

say thanks if you are fine with it :D
