My charger just died. does anyone know where i can get a replacement in aus? if only you could charge the tablet via micro usb like every other smart device on the market....

You can use a standard 12V DC adapter 1 to 2 amp output for charging the XOOM. the hardest part is finding the correct end. I salvaged mine from the dead charger and connected a 12 volt adapter that I had in my spare parts box. WATCH your polarity.. + to +.(center post)

This has been working for over a year.

BTW - the charger that died wasn't the motorola one, but one that I purchased as a spare... it was cheap, but not very reliable, at least it had the right connector.
