Update to Windows 6.5 (or android if possible)

Hello everyone,
My lil' brother has a HTC Touch Diamond. Because he got a micro-sim from his provider (and didn't notice it), he couldn't call, so he put his phone away, and didn't take a look at it anymore. He wasn't going to do much with it anyway. When I took a look at it today, I saw 2 things:
-He has a micro-sim
-He still has Windows 6.1
So for that last thing I asked "Don't you want to update it?" He answered "Yes, but I don't know how. Can you do?" I answered yes, but actually I don't know it too. Can someone help me?

to be able Updrade to WM6.5 you must upgrade Hard-SPL to Hard-SPL 1.40.OliNex for the first !

Ah, Hard-SPL? I pretty much don't know what it is Do you have a tutorial for that?
