Help me...

just installed pa 3.97 and PA_Gapps 15/08 after a factory reset...

"unfurtunately the process android.process.media has stopped" ...

at the end of configuration, the nexus is not recognized by PC ...

I redid the installation 3 times ... always the same error
Idea?

Did you wipe data and system in mounts and storage? Sorry, no other/better idea...
Or corrupted download? Never had that myself but everybody's talking bout it.

OK I am connected to a PC right now. Works no problem here. Make sure you have development options turned on by tapping build in settings seven times. Then make sure you turn on USB debugging.

4.3 works perfect just messaging FC (not big deal)

Fresh installed 3.97 last night and aside from having the messaging FC, video also can't be played. It works with MX Player with S/W decoder only but H/W and H/W+ decoders doesn't work. Tried playing video with QuickPic also failed. YouTube's video works just fine.

What's the APN info and why is it not just in the rom anymore? Either the apn info I'm finding online is wrong or 3g is broke. Help please my home internet is down.

My original APN config works OK here.

It just dawned on me to check pa4.2's settings and yeah it works now. I really hope we don't have to manually configure it every time now but it was a lot easier than I thought it would be so I guess it's ok.

Update on Settings, storage: it's not crashing at the moment.

I'll do some more logging tomorrow then upload my logcats. Gonna attempt to fix camera permissions so I can get snapchat and tinychat and I can't remember what I was gonna post damn I hate when this happens but I'm gonna click a bunch of things to make logcat long. OH I'll see if I can connect to my PC, I think I forgot to turn on debugging earlier.

In only manually configured mine on the first build. Took me 30 seconds.

I never had to do it on PA before, it was auto like the stock rom. I had to do it once a while ago while trying different roms and forgot how I did it.

google upstream after I fixed it other way lol. But both ways work...this is the official google one

Update: I forgot 'touch to correct words' needs to be off to use kii keyboard's select copy paste thing, it works.

EDIT: the new version 3.98 has solved the problem ...

Now the nexus is reviewed by the PC.

(Aug21) 3.98 - TILAPIA: Status Stable

New build up on goo.im. FCs should be fixed (for the Mms one thanks to @kufikugel). No camera app in this one (as for grouper releases too, will come in 3.99). For OTG use StickMount app, Tethering will come in 3.99 as well or at max with 4.00. New Halo changes, settings reorder and more. Thanks to @FReaKRaNT to help me test this.

If you read BB's post again you will notice that he addressed both of these concerns. The camera and MMS are both missing in this build. The MMS issue has been resolved and it along with the camera will be in the next build.
