are you experiencing shorter battery life in this config? I have the same problem and using ARHD boot.img, not sure if its just me but the battery doesn't seem as good as before :(

It won't be, because you don't have the correct ramdisk. First priority is getting your phone working, then trying to get you running with the leedroid boot.img (I don't know if lee is working on this, to find out if there's something buggy with it).

In the meantime just make sure you have done all your backups, copy them to your pc even if you need, also make sure you have a copy of the latest rom on your SD just in case you need to flash again.

Otherwise, stick with where you are, we might get S-OFF soon and then you can flash the boot.img very easily through recovery.

...that is a know issue from all custom recoveries.
its a serious bug, that you canat charge the phone in recovery AND NOT when the phone is powered off.

So please be careful, dont let your phone run your battery completly down. It can brick your phone!

It seems now I have charging problems when the phone IS switched on. It was the whole night on the charger, 19% today in the morning... USB charging seems to be the same.
The only thing that works is to switch off the phone and charge from USB.

What is wrong and how do I solve this?

I'm on 3.0.0 with the latest boot.img.

--------------------

Really strange. I did few reboots, booted into HBOOT with charging cable connected, it said "checking SD card for update", then rebooted again into the ROM and now I see 100% charge...

Next time you have 100% (full) charge, then go into recovery and wipe battery statistic, then reboot the phone, should do the trick;)

After asking for some tests in the CWM thread, it was confirmed by several ppl that the phone wont charge with power off, in contrary, plugging it to a wall charger will drain the battery! :(
Mike hinted that this might be due to a missing "offmode_charging binary" which is present in stock recovery, but somehow his post got overlooked
Anyway, apparently the phone still charges through your PCs USB port, so you are not completely screwed if you let your battery run down (which I believe we should actually be doing the first few cycles :-/ ).
But still, I wouldn't risk it ;)

There is something wrong with battery readings.
It has been confirmed by several ppl now, that you get sudden drops of %. I experience it mostly after a long time of standby, where I would think "wow, great standby drain", only to use the phone for 5 mins and loose ~5%
Check your battery drain grafs, wherever there is a nice and straight decreasing line, that was a sudden %age drop. I'll try to post one tonight to show you what I mean.

I have no idea if this is due to the ROM (not Lees fault fo course, more the htc base) or my hardware, but I also have a feeling the good standby drain actually clouds ppls analysis of the battery drain.
At least I hope so, otherwise it would mean that my battery is faulty... ;)

However, I know something is not right with my battery as the one review I read said that they were disappointed, that 15mins of riptide used ~5% of battery. I would love to see that kind of drain. I played it for 20mins yesterday (used the stopwatch :D) and I lost 12%, from 64% to 52%. I hope I will be able to solve it once we can charge when off, then I'll do some full charge to 0 and charge while off cycles to train the battery (is that actually still needed with LiPo batteries?).

Can I maybe ask some of you guys who have the game to actually make a "Riptide" test? Please play it for 15mins and report the drain you see.
Thanks!

I had an eye on that for a few days now and can confirm that when phone comes out of standby it does not immediately show the correct battery %. It takes about half a minute or so then it drops by 3-5% at once and then goes down at a normal speed as long as the phone is in use. It seems the battery readings sort of stop or rather get laggy in standby mode

I have a feeling the 5th core is messing with this. Definitely something strange with standby power drain stats. Battery monitor widget also cannot get stats when in standby, only when active.

Hold on, is this typically above 90%? You know where I'm heading with this....

---------- Post added at 08:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:34 AM ----------

Nope.. radio control/firmware is embedded Rom/Kernel..

Usual radio image is around 22MB for Snapdragon devices... our hboot is only 2MB.. there is no longer a seperate radio image and its certainly not in a seperate image ;)

Was thinking about this a few weeks ago when analyzing the RUU.. we now have clarity :)

Any chance you can get new radio to flash in custom ROM package? :-D

I've had it happen when at 40-50%. It's not likely to be a calibration thing... more likely that whatever controls the battery info is not getting updates when the phone is in standby. As mentioned before, Battery Monitor Widget has similar issues as the system is not reporting usage info when sleeping, it just keeps telling me the same figure from whenever the phone was last active. I know 3c has bought (or is in the process of buying) a OneX to investigate further.

Now, given that we have a CPU with a "hidden" 5th standby core that the OS cannot directly interact with, I'd suggest that is part of the problem. More than likely will take some kind of driver update from nvidia. In the meantime, standby figures need to be taken with a grain of salt unless you've had the device active for a few minutes before taking your screengrab.

All IMO of course, I don't know how the architecture of this stuff works on a deep technical level, I just follow logic :p (which as we know, things aren't always logical)

Glad it helped, be ware of discharging your battery to zero, it's absolutely not recommended aswell ;-) feel free to have a look in post 2 on the first Page in this thread FAQ's you will have the answer to your battery issue aswell;)
Breinholst, thx for your effort, but could you please update the FAQ regarding the running out of charge issue?
As I said and has been shown in the CWM thread (and even here, some posts above), plugging your phone to wall charger will not help if you run out of juice. Only plugging to USB on PC helps.

See, these kind of things we could have changed ourselves if we had a wiki ;)

Then To the fun Part, Flashing LeeDrOiD One Xtreme rom

    1. Boot to recovery
    2. Nandroid backup
    3. Flash the ROM.zip
    4. Boot to bootloader
    5. Flash the boot.img from HERE MD5# bb129bed56ec352cfae4661b9a8e5cbe using "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
    5. Run "fastboot erase cache"
    6. Run "fastboot reboot"
    7. Enjoy your Ice Cream Sandwich
    ;)

    Q 2: Available Radios
    Have a look @this here

    Q 3: Sense or No-Sense Launcher?
Have a look @this thread HERE

Q 4: "I dont like the green WiFi icons / transparent notification area"
Have a look @post 3 in this thread. Mattmanwrx makes magic there :D

Q 6: Should I use a task killer on the LD ROM?
Not recommended, is you really want to, use the one that came with the rom.(Lee would say, NO!)

Q 7: Backup? What is that?
A good idea is to back up all your data and settings from the phone before flashing a new rom with a full wipe. Best app available is Titanium Back up(included in the ROM)
The best way to back up the contacts is to sync it via HTC Sync or via your gmail.

Q 8: Are Nandroid and Titanium backup the same thing? How do I manage backups?
No, Nandroid backs up the ROM and Titanium backs up the applications. Nandroid is what you do using the recovery and it makes the exact image of your ROM along with the data.

Q 9: On what occasion will I lose my data (apps, contacts etc)?
Only when you flash the rom wiping data using the Aroma installer option. (see next question, Answer 3). When you just flash a rom or a .zip from recovery, it will not wipe anything unless otherwise mentioned.

Q 10: I was on stock (or another rom from another cook) and I flashed LeeDroiD ROM, now I am having some problems.1. Try to rebooting the Phone and see if it makes a difference.
    2. Reboot into recovery and clear cache and dalvik, reboot the phone and clear data of the apps causing problem.
    3. Reboot into recovery, reflash the rom choosing full wipe in the installer.

Q 11: How do I flash Full wipe or Superwipe and what does it erase?Reboot into recovery, install a zip from sd card option, select the rom, follow the Aroma installer and select "Flash with wiping all (or something to that effect :))

Q 12: The screen is not very responsive and is lagging.
Let the phone settle down a bit after you unlock it. It generally needs a few seconds to kick up the CPU.

Q 13: The market is not installing anything. Gives error.
Reboot into recovery and select “clear cache partition”. And under settings - applications - Manage applications - under the Market app < Clear Data>.

Q 14: My battery is draining heavily.
When you first flash a ROM this is what happens. Give it atleast one full charge cycle and it should come back to normal. If required, reboot into recovery and clear battery stats. It is advisable to do so on 100%.

Common Opinion - Heavy battery drain is one thing that you cannot complain about on this rom, for sure. The battery life is much above average

It's NOT recommended to empty the battery, it may course a poorer battery performance and life cyclus.

Read what member Wolfraim discovered HERE

Q15: Should I run the phone battery to zero percent, and what if it does??
A: Absolutely not! Both the current recoveries are giving problems while pulling the battery up from zero percent. If the phones dies off due to battery being zero, try to reboot it into recovery, flash the stock recovery. If it doesnt, then plug it into the wall charger and leave it for as long as it takes for you to boot it. Then flash the stock recovery, charge it fully and do your stuff.

    Q16: MMS Problem?
A: Please check your APN settings.

Q17: Some games that use the motion/G sensor are not working as they should.
    A: Re-Calibrate your Gsensor –> Settings – Display – Gsensor Callibration

Q18: I dont like the animations. Dont want them.
A: Go to settings - display - animations.

Q19: How do I change the bootanimation or the downanimation?
A: System\Customize\Resource or System/Data/Local. Replace the boot/down animation.zip file with the one you want. The new file must be named bootanimation.zip/downanimation.zip.

Q20: Can I modify frequencies using SetCPU/System tuner?
A: Avoid set cpu/system tuner at this stage. It is causing much troubles. The app needs to be updated for Quad-core usage.

    Q21: GPS Problems?
A: Try faster fix app here from the market. Has helped a few members.

Q22: I am having difficulties assigning ringtones from my SD card on the 4.0 sense.
A: Go to contact, select ringtone. Select ADD where it shows a list of system ringtone - Now it should take you to your music and tones on the SD card. Select the one that you want and click OK. Back on the system ringtones, scroll to find the newly added tone and select it.

Thanks for kind assistance as always to my dear friend Senior Moderator PG101 :D

This thread, however great it was, has turned into nothing other than bickering and a gimme this and that and why not update thread!

Lee is going thru some family issues which HAS to take priority and hence his absence.

Nothing more to say here, this thread is closed till Lee returns.

    Thanks.

    LeeDrOiD Extras

LeeDrOiD Extras consists of themeing mods, trying to take a little off Lee's back.

This flashable.zip uses the aroma installer, so it is a one zip flash for most of your LeeDrOiD themeing matters :)

    • Non-Transparent Notification Area
    • Non-Transparent Notification Area + Stock Sense WiFi Icons
    • Non-Transparent Notification Area + Stock Sense WiFi Icons + Stock Sense Battery (removes battery percentage mod)
    • Stock Battery (removes battery percentage mod)
    • Stock Sense WiFi Icons (removes the LeeDrOiD modded green icons)
    • Stock Sense WiFi Icons + Stock Sense Battery (removes the LeeDrOiD modded green icons + battery percentage mod)
    • Stock LeeDrOiD (The way Lee releases the rom, will put everything back to stock LeeDrOiD out of the box rom)

This also use the VillianRom VRTheme method for themeing, so it should be compatible with *all* LeeDrOiD One Xtreme releases, however, I may need to update it from time to time.
It could also be possible to be used with other themes, for instance, you could flash the non-transparent notification area + my Blue Status Bar mods in the theme section.

If you have anything to add/a request, please quote post/PM me and I will see if it is possible to add it.

Click Here To Go To My Downloads Page
(ad revenue helps pay for my time! ;))

I do not plan to add themes to this post, there is a whole forum for themes :)

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Attached to this post is a 6.4 notification fix - made by me - using Lee's help (from a post a while ago) and using VRTheme (so themes stay intact! :))
