btw: in the Selection Options, can you add Show ALL Default Icons? cause the icons are not showing (maybe on mine lang?).
i need to select the icons one by one just to Show default icons.
and how about an option to select icons from dll and exe files?
and folder sorting (By Type Sorting), say like i have 10 folders... if i use the Sort Current Items options, it will alphabetized the shortcuts but the folders are not all sorted together.

Icon Changer doesn't support changing the Icon Sizes.. if you want to do this manually .. you can edit StartMenu_GridScene_<w>x<h>.cpr located in "\Windows"
So far everything has been great with the new version. I've replaced all 256 icons I had in various folders on my start menu. Nice app. Well done!

i reformatted my phone and all my icon customization disappeared.
what file or registry should i back up before doing a hard reset?
or could you add a backup (import/export) function?

Great looking app which I want to use for the icon backup and restore procedure after flashing a rom. Unfortunately when I ran the registry link thing from tools it gave an unexpected error and quit. I then tried to restart my phone (Touch HD) to see the icon changes I'd made but an error came up about being unable to execute the xdashutdown.exe (cooked into my rom, XT Grid 1.8b). I pulled the battery and restarted the phone which decided to hard reset itself
I'm guessing the xdashutdown app has a critical registry entry that conflicts with Icon Changer somehow. Is this the case with other shutdown/reset programs that replace the power button and if so does anyone know the registry entry to return to normal shutdown instead (I can live without a reset app).

i am using Fuze touch pro with NRG's rom

i see some icons but most of the icons at start menu esp the folders like tools, multimedia etc is missing at the prog window. refreshing list doesnot help.
Ur prog manager shows all the folders and icons at the start menu though.

Icon Changer is a Start Menu customization tool designed for Windows Mobile 6.5
What you can do with JWMD Icon Changer?
CHANGING THE ICON
long press on an item to popup the context menu and click Change Icon.
A picture browser will show up for you to browse for an PNG image.
REMOVING THE ICON
long press on an item to popup the context menu and click Remove Icon.
SHOWING and HIDING THE ORIGINAL ICON
long press on an item to popup the context menu and click Show or Hide Orginal Icon.
SAVING and LOADING A THEME
Saving a theme will copy and build all neccessary information in a shortcut or folder located in the %Installed-Directory%\Themes
you must not rename the theme name folder or it will blow the path references!
Loading a theme will install all neccessary information in a shortcut or folder.
Image files will be transfered in "\Windows\IconChangerCache" to prevent from path referencing problem.
SORTING
click on Menu>Sort Current Items.
Sort the current items on the list by ASC, DESC
REGISTERING SHORTCUT FILES IN REGISTRY
One of the problem when using Cooked ROM is when Cheffs forgot to make a registry key for their application shortcut in start menu.
click on "Menu>Scan uregistered shortcuts" to automatically register the unregistered application shortcut files into the registry so you can edit the icon in IconChanger.
CLEAR HTC SENSE ICON CACHE
One of the recent problem reported was HTC Sense quicklink icons doesn't update even after restarting the phone. This was because HTC Sense has it's own way of caching their icon for optimization. So to solve this problem, I added a new feature to clear this cache which you can find in
"Menu>Tools>HTC Sense Tools>Clear Icon Cache" and soft-reset the phone.

Nice job.. I have been able to change almost every icon in my Treo Pro. One question: I have selected the "scan unregistered shortcuts" and it works for the hidden icons in the "root" start menu but not for the "unregistered shortcuts" in the setting-personal or settings-connections, etc. There are icons I have not been able to change such as PC Setup, backlight, TTY, etc. They do not appear in JWMD. Any ideas?
