I think you might try one more thing.
You have an old ICS era firmware. You never upgraded to jellybean stock.
Here's what to do.
Run an ICS RUU for Orange UK.
Then receive Jellybean update over-the-air. After this flash a twrp recovery and make a backup and upload it somewhere. Dropbox will be better. Give me a link to as more Orange users may ask for it.
Looks like there's no RUU/OTA.zip for Orange UK. Shame, T-Mo and Orange have merged but not the RUU support, T-MO at least should have added support for Orange branded phones in its RUUs.
