Does anyone know if an accompanying radio is supposed to come out with 4.2.2? I'm still stuck on 4.0.4, because the Bluetooth hands-free background noise makes it pretty much unusable for me.

Re: [2.16.13] [Rom] [4.2.2] [Aokp] [Aroma] [Linaro] [Lots of options]

Not able to download the latest build (or anything else from Dev host it seems). Any ideas? I have strong signal, have tried on 4g and WiFi, and can download fine from other sites. It starts downloading then just says " download unsuccessful". Anyone else having this, or have any ideas? Thanks.

I did the same thing. I don't know if it's something I did but I was pretty sure I flashed right.

Edit: Oh maybe it was because I never flashed the new 4.2.2 kernel binaries... Do I still have to do that even if I'm just using the kernel built into the ROM?

I really should make another build. Now its inline kernel building. Guess I can take 30 minutes and merge the commits and build

Once I flashed the binary and the kernel, it booted fine.
By the way, Performance Control crashes.
Other than that everything else seems to work fine.
Thanks.

Ok, performance control is an option in Aroma. If you didnt check it, it wont install it.

no load the most current radio
The most current radio (4.1.1) sucks for me. Well, it sucks in that it has the background static/buzzing/high frequency intereference noise during BT phone calls. It performs much better from a data standpoint, though.

I've been using the 4.0.4 radio, which is a little better... but I was really hoping a new radio would come out alongside this update.

The GSM guys got a new radio. Maybe we're next?

Doubt it. Google gave up on cdma phones..... Our phones require a verizon key to work which is not open source. Hence the nexus 4 is gsm.

I don't see how they can get away with "giving up" on CDMA phones. I have a hard time believing that the next Nexus (the Motorola "X phone") will not have a Verizon variant. Motorola and Verizon are big-time bed buddies....

I had quite a few people ask me to do this so here it is. My AOKP kangs. I have lots of merged commits and optimization in these builds for your enjoyment.

If you have the GSM version of the Gnex (Maguro) you can find my builds here= http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2339744

    Few things:
    1) All code is written by the members of team AOKP.
    2) I am not a developer. I am an Android hobbyist.
    3) I am not affiliated with team AOKP, therefore any issues you have with the ROM cannot be brought to team AOKP

Please before you flash anything, I beg of you to backup your EFS partition. If it gets corrupted and you don't have a backup, there is NO FIX.
    Here's how

Go into TWRP (make sure you are on 2.6.0.0.) then go to back up. Uncheck everything BUT EFS. Name the backup EFS and swipe to backup. That way not only do you have a backup of the whole phone but you have a backup of just the EFS partition.

I want to thank every one of you for supporting me and AOKP. You all have been f'n amazing. I have a good friend Akellar who is part of team AOKP and he does some really good builds. If youre looking for a new home. GO SEE HIM!!!

Keep up the great work man. I've been lurking in here, but I have to say that your dedication is admirable and really great for the community :good:

Thanks. Back when I knew nothing about android I noticed that the devs would shy away or get easily aggravated. I want everyone not to look at me as a dev or rc but as just another person in the crowd. I post my gtalk where everyone can see it because I know how frustrating things can get. In the end I just want everyone to feel at home in the thread.
