Nexus 7 App Incompatibility List

CNN and CNN for tablets both are 'incompatible' with the N7 according to the market. So is the BBC news app and the AP news app. Heck, it seems like all of the news apps don't work.

No, I installed it from the Google Play store. It force closes immediately upon launch.
They have this note on the app page: "Dear Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) users, we are looking into reported compatibility issues and are working hard on a solution. Thank you for your patience."
NBA Jam - Unavailable, don't know if working. Not going to spend $5 to find out that it's not. (it's a large file, so I don't know if I have enough time to buy on my Touchpad and transfer it over in the 15 minutes...)

C.H.A.O.S. it plays but the sky has trailing visual artifacts that makes it impossible to shoot anyone down above you.
Sucks cause I put 60+ hours into that game (since 2011)

The latest version does work, it just won't update from the previous version.
If you had your progress backed up in the cloud, or don't mind starting over, just uninstall and re-install it.

Flex T9 Keyboard and Swype are both non fuctional... They type, but don't swype... Don't even show up in Play...
Been waiting for Adobe Photoshop Touch but it's marked as incompatible; still in ICS land, I presume.

Looks like all the Audubon Guides (birds, and mammals, and insects, and etc) will say that they are incompatible. I they work when loaded from Amazon.
EA's doing a pretty terrible job of making their games compatible. Here are their lists:

Pretty sad performance, I'd say. They've consistently been terrible about updating apps. However, some of these are probably sideloadable. I've had success sideloading SimCity, Bejeweled, and Tetris on other "incompatible" devices (e.g. my Atrix) but haven't tried any on the N7 yet.
Note that I haven't actually tested any of the 7 apps listed as "compatible", either.

Swype beta works fine on my N7. I'm swiping this reply with it. I've had issues with SwiftKey....

7Was searching the market for apps only to find out some apps are not available/compatible with our tablet, including some which I've previously paid for e.g FIFA 12. This thread is so we can establish which apps are confirmed to to be not available or working. Just reply with the name of the app and whether it is just unavailable on the Google Play Store, or the actual .apk did not work.
Tip: If an app is not compatible emailing the developer via the Play Store may help, as was the case with one app I encountered.

EASILY, the single most helpful and insightful post in this thread..11I had specifically wanted to get Dead Space and Mass Effect Infiltrator with my Google Play credit but to my dismay both came up as "Your device isn't compatible with this version". However, taking my old rooted Epic 4G, and modding my build.prop to allow me to purchase both and taking the APK files onto my stock Nexus 7, both install and play just fine. Annoyed that I had to go through such hoops to buy and install the games I wanted but worked out in the end.1
