ok i put this at the end of my local manifest and its downloaded the xysettings int my build tree.

how do i add a slot/option in settings menu to open xysettings??

hope this makes sence:)

It'll be in android/system/packages/apps/settings, check out the Java to see what's being called

Thanks. I have the settings installed. I now have the option in settings XML. Now just need to set up the call:).

yes I have one but just learning :)

It's all local at the moment.
I can't get the option linked to the settings...
I put this in
packages/apps/settings/res/xml/settings_headers.xml




But can not remember how to do anything else (what java class needs amending and to what)??
a basic walkthrough would be great.
I have spent 2 weeks reading to get this far.. lol

    This ROM is NOT, I repeat NOT built from source. It is based off the latest CM nightly.

    Information:
    -Based off CyanogenMods nightly from January 19th
    -Has a plethora of tweaks/mods
    -Amazing audio
    -Exceptional battery life
    -Fast
    -Made for users who want a ton of mods, but don't have to flash all of them.

    Features:
    -Sony Bravia Engine 2
    -Beats audio
    -PIMP my Beats (Modded DSPManager)
    -Sony ClearAudio
    -Sony xLoud
    -AC!DMOD 5.0
    -Camera bitrate increase
    -DRM fix (Watch Hulu and Netflix!) (Removed for now)
    -BigRushDogs Sprint Diagnostics app (Toroplus only)
    -Extra ringtones/notification audio
    -White Nexus bootanimation
    -Seeder 1.4.0
    -OTA Updater
    -Removed some apps
    -Sense 4.0 clock widget
    -XenoAmp audio player
    -Usual CM stuff

    How to properly flash this ROM:
    1. Download the ROM
    2. Download GApps
    *Download a custom kernel if you'd like
    3. Wipe cache, Dalvik-cache, factory reset, and system
    *If you're doing a full, clean install and intend to ADB push your ROM, wipe your internal storage and format your data
    4. Flash the ROM
    5. Flash the GApps
    *Flash the kernel
    6. Reboot
    7. When you get your setup screen, refrain from using your phone for ~15 minutes
    8. Enjoy!

I'm not the kind of dev to make (Or kang, in this instance) a ROM and then leave you guys. I am more than willing to help you guys out, just please don't insult me, or others. And please, don't 'flame' me for not compiling this ROM from source. I am working on a source build as we speak, and intend to update the ROM further down the road from actual AOSP source, versus 'Kanging' CyanogenMods. And I know Kangs aren't typically accepted in this community, but this is for the kind of user who wants amazing audio quality, a reliable source, and constant updates. If you don't like this ROM, please give me some constructive criticism, instead of making fun of me for Kanging.

    Anyways... Enjoy! And feel free to ask questions. Just don't repeat them, or ask them in a rude or demanding manner.
