SMS monitoring/parental control app?

Anyone know of a good app for this that is free? I don't need all the extra features some of the nicer paid ones have. Just looking to monitor sms. Anything else is just a bonus.

Done a lot of searching with mixed results, most stuff is pretty old.

Maybe you can try mobile spy, it can log incoming and outgoing sms, I am using it for parental control.

Looks good but far from free. Unless I'm looking at the wrong app. I know free is hard to do with these but there's gotta be something.

Free ones? There are also many. You can easily use Ghostrack for android for tracking anyone from anywhere. Its free and simple but full of useful features. You can download on google play.
