Hello to every SD Card User.. to end the discussion upon exfat support: flash this http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2155363 and sd card runs as well as it does with stock roms

I don't recommend flashing that.

Simple solution is to download the fat32formatting tool from: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm CLICK the link at the FIRST line of the page where it says "Try it here". It is the GUI version which is easier to use.

It will format your 64GB SD Card with FAT32 Format. It's just that Windows doesn't let you do that doesn't mean it cannot be done.

My FAT32 Formatted 64GB SD Card has been working well with the CM10.1 and other card readers perfectly since then.

Try it. :good:

fat32 is not able to handle files over 4 gb.. so if someone wants to watch hd movies for example the mod i referred to is of course a good choice.. i had no problems with that.. everything works fine.. if u have other experiences tell'em

totally real

Anyone experiencing some distortion(pictures turning into cubes) at the bottom of the screen when scrolling through text/pictures?

This is a real problem; it occurs whenever a scrolling list is overlaid on top of anything (eg. anything that is not a full screen list). For instance, if you scroll through the task switcher, you get the tiling effect UNLESS you are using a live wallpaper, because then it just makes a black background instead of showing the current wallpaper behind it.

to see the effect install apex launcher and add a widget, then scroll. Any scrolling box that is not full screen will tile like this and it's super annoying. I don't know if it's because we don't have an "official" surfaceflinger for 4.2 from samsung, but this problem is real and re-creatable over and over

logcat isn't really giving me anything meaningful. I've filed a bug report but no dice

Yes, something in the overlay rendering is a bit wonky when you scroll down a list which isn't full screen, adding a widget to the home screen for example gives this display distortion/tiling. Bit of an annoyance but doesn't hamper performance or usability of this nightly.

Hey I would like to help with the development section. I don't know if LTE is not still available in this rom or if H+ means lte which I dont think it does. And I still don't know how to do logcats but I'll look into it tonight

Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda app-developers app

Same here - Germany - T-Mobile. Entering LTE Area switches mobile conection completly off ... Switching to 3 G Mode 3G and H+ (E) is back.

And - i also don't know how to logcat when entering LTE area on phone ... sorry ...8)

Thank you soo much for the great work here .... using it with Cyndelta and automaticly flashing Gapps and kernel ... downloading about 10 MB when upgrading rom ...8)

Is it only me, or anyone noticed that CM camera application takes lower quality photos than Samsung stock ? Also the preview is not as sharp as stock. Does it really exist or am I paranoid? ;)

Yes I can get LTE connection but as long as I lose a connection it wont reconnect itself. 3G Mode is OK.

I've seen in the commits that there is a workaround for the camera focus+flash issue! Thank you very much, you CM guys are awesome! :)

it's not just that nightly; I'm going to install the very latest but I doubt it's fixed. Likely it's because we don't have a 4.2 surfaceflinger. I've never filed a bug report with CM, how do we go about doing that? Also, NOTHING in the logcat when this is happening. Thanks.

Indeed, this has been in every nightly I have used, obviously you can follow the changes being committed to each nightly.

Hopefully the OP/rules indicate the process for raising bugs/issues

I haven't had time to test but does this happen in all launchers/Trebuchet, kernels and ROMs derived from this source?

HI there, Would suggest having a good read of all the information the OP has made available.

There is no support in the particular thread for custom kernels. All the nightly builds have worked fine with no major issues or boot loops.

Does CyanogenMod support S pen functionality?

no it doesn't

---------- Post added at 04:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:32 AM ----------

After installing 30 April nightly, I do not see the artifacts when scrolling through the widget list no more (and similarly with other un-maximized window), is the issue fixed or is it just me (I do not see it in the changelog). Also I see my batt has improved by atleast 5-8% more (been testing for couple of days now).

Kudos CM Team, Donated on the way as we speak :)

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Not sure where you're getting your info from but that reason I have to use another Kernal is because the stock DOESN"T WORK.

If you need me to help you diagnose this problem let me know but for the moment its broken for me.

the latest nightly comes with a kernel which is using mali r3p1 driver and the system comes with mali r3p1 libraries.
if those don't match you get a black screen.

nearly all custom kernels are not updated yet and use r3p0 which means missmatch -> black screen.

Yep, we did it again! Our opensource audio HAL seems to work almost fine.
Incall earpiece, speaker, mic and bluetooth are working. A2dp works also.
Since Google Now works properly i assume the Camcorder will be fine, too.
    Headset is working aswell.

    Download: cm-10.1-20130125-UNOFFICIAL-t0lte.zip
    Please test it.

    Known bugs:
    - mic mute broken during calls

i m sorry but i dont know how can i tar it and i dont know what tar is...

sorry and thank you for your help..

don't get me wrong, but if you're that inexperienced then you shouldn't flash custom roms to your phone.
