No backlight

I thought my phone was bricked, but it turned out not to be the case. I am unlocked, rooted, and running 4.4.2 ROM. I bought an optimus g pro and transfered a large amount of data to my microsd. After I took the card out I let the lgog sit for a while. I then checked it to see that it had dropped to 2% battery. I set it to charge. When I checked it later it hadn't charged and appeared to be unresponsive. It wouldn't charge or boot up. After scouring the internet I managed to get it to respond. Right now it is powered on but there is no backlight.
By the way, no water or any other sort of damage.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also, has anyone else had their LCD go out all of a sudden. I would hate to buy an LCD and that not be the problem. Any experience you can share will be greatly appreciated.

Well did you try to boot into bootloader? Lgnpst to stock? If its stuck like that after that its not looking good.

When I turn I reboot it. It turns off and on but nothing ever shows on the screen. The home menu and back buttons and power button do light up but nothing else.
