Tried out Generation X yesterday and now really looking forward to Vortex :)

It's good to see we have more followers now. For months now we have been stressing how good this ROM is. I should really pay for IRC and get back on :) - Vortex is sweet. However I liked the original concept with the scrollable looking widgets and the fantastic dock and in this pic the colour looks less saturated. Just throwing it out there

Hello... I did state in my earlier post that the wallpaper and icons were not going to be in vortex...but would be made availabe...neither is the dock, thats a launcher pro dock...what you see in your picture is still going to be in the release...the colour has not changed since last month when he made those pictures..

Downside is...you need widgetlocker which is a paid app....for the side icons...

It will all be explained in the release...I just threw that homescreen together to test the theme and post a few shots...

:| ..... when you hold Power button you get to choose what you wan´t do, like Reboot, Turn off, Recovery and many more.... telling me you have never Rebooted to Recovery (ClockWork). Well that isn´t possible since you have Darky´s ROM and stuff like that haha.... just weird that you don´t know what Recovery is haha :p

Ta for confirming re wallpaper rixsta - shows how careful selection can tone the whole theme down a little - that's my perception anyway ;)

Loving this rom already - screen has been brought alive ;)

Being stupid though now but the official PlayStation app only takes up part of the screen when open? Can't it be resized or is it just down to the dpi change?

android.process.acore

Hello,

yesterday i wipe installed 0.6.5. I installed all my previous apps and removed some stuff i normaly removed....the phone was working perfectly but in the moring it startet to give me the android.process.acore fc message...any idea?
I removed OPP 2.2.1, logprovider and Fehler 1.0.0 (Error 1.0.0; i dont know what it is called in english version), but i made a backup of them via titanium backup. the strange thing is that when i try to recover them it gives me the success message but it actually wasnt successful. Any idea? I also get a process.**.mms error sometimes rebooting the phone. Can maybe someone upload opp, logprovider and error apk, or anybody has the sollution?

Edit: One really strange thing also happens. i installed the gingerbread keyboard and it was working perfectly yesterday, but now the samsung keyboard shows up even if i set it to gingerbread. gettin more weird. i deinstalled samsung keyboard but and it is not showing up in settings but it still shows up on memo, market, internet, etc....wtf

Edit2: Is any of this necessary? OPP 2.2.1, logprovider, Fehler 1.0.0 (Error 1.0.0) and all the other bluetooth-crap apks?

One thing you cannot remove is logprovider AFAIK

Then I Download EZbase-ROM and flashed it via Odin.... when that was successfully done I just put Insanity v0.6.5 and Ultimate Kernel V1.1 on my INTERNAL SD Card and flashed the ROM and Kernel :D

Easy peasy, everything is so friggin fast... realy having a hard time believing this haha

I was told never to tick Re-Partition so try not doing that.... and you are putting the files in right sections?

PDA: EZbase-PDA-XWJS3.tar
PHONE: EZbase-PHONE-XXJPY.tar
CSC: EZbase-CSC-XXJP9.tar

There is no PIT File... when you have done this, just click Start! :)

great rom yet again nitr8 - thanks.

I cant see lcd changer in the market. Ive cleared market cache, tried market fix in sgs tools, changed csc with nitrality to a polish one and changed back to xeu, but still no joy.

I'm in the uk. Anyone got any ideas?

Go into nitrality app that comes with this ROM.... click on "UI Tweaks" and there you find "Display Resolution" ..... just change it there :)

    Easy Peasy Installation for Insanity cm31 and higher,

    Case 1:
    Currently on any Samsung 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 ROMs (stock or custom, you already have Gingerbread Bootloader (GBL))
    • Enter CWM recovery (If you are on stock Samsung, install speedmod or another kernel which gives you this).
    • Wipe data/factory reset
    • Go to mounts and storage, format system , go back.
    • Go to advanced, wipe dalvik cache.
    • Go to Install zip file, select zip file, select Insanity cmxx.zip and Install insanity.
    • Reboot to system.
    • Flash another kernel using nitrality if you need, gapss.

    Case 2:
    Currently on 2.1 or 2.2 samsung roms (stock or custom)
    • If you don’t have CWM recovery, install a kernel for 2.1 or 2.2 which gives you that.
    • Download Odin from here if you don't have odin already and GingerBread Bootloaders (GBL).
    • Load GBL in PDA, click on bootloader update and reset time. Nothing else.
    • Once odin says pass with a green bar, pull battery.
    • Enter CWM recovery, wipe data/factory reset.
    • Go to mounts and storage, format system , go back.
    • Go to advanced, wipe dalvik cache.
    • Go to Install zip file, select zip file, select Insanity cmxx.zip and Install insanity.
    • Reboot to system.
    • Flash another kernel using nitrality if you need, gapss.

    Case 3:
    Currently on Cm7/Insanity(30 and older)/MIUI with Froyo bootloaders
    • Download EZOdin and GingerBread Bootloaders (GBL).
    • Load GBL in PDA, click on bootloader update and reset time. Nothing else.
    • Once odin says pass with a green bar, pull battery.
    • Enter CWM recovery, wipe cache.
    • Go to advanced, wipe dalvik cache.
    • Go to Install zip file, select zip file, select Insanity cmxx.zip and Install insanity.
    • Reboot to system.
    • Flash another kernel using nitrality if you need, gapss.

    Case 4:
    Currently on Cm7/Insanity 31 and older/MIUI with GBL
    • Enter CWM recovery
    • Wipe Cache (can skip this if you are on insanity, do it later if you have issues).
    • Go to advanced, wipe dalvik cache ( can skip this if you are on insanity, do it later if you have issues).
    • Go to Install zip file, select zip file, select Insanity cmxx.zip and Install insanity.
    • Reboot to system.
    • Flash another kernel using nitrality if you need, gapss.

    If you still manage to screw up, time to give up on flashing as you can’t follow simple instructions :).
