Default google talk with cm10

I have searched the forums and haven't found anything about being able to use google talk (video chat) with cm10. I haven't posted enough to put this question into the cm10 forum. So if someone wants to put this question into that forum I would appreciate that.
Thanks

I just came across this issue while trying to do a phone to phone (over LTE4g) Gtalk video chat (i did a google search and found your post). Once we finally got video chat to connect the person on the other end (galaxy nexus running CM10 M1build) could not hear me, I was able to hear them. We repeated the process 2 or 3 times but I was not able to get them to hear me until i switch to my desktop. I have the VZW SGS3 running CM10 9/17build. Sorry i cant be of more help, but maybe this will bring light to any Gtalk video chat issues that might exist.

I have the same problem with CM10 9/20.

Also... The voice dial app does not hear me either. Google Now does. I wonder if there is a problem with the way these programs are initializing the microphone. This is also making it impossible to call using only a bluetooth headset.

I could receive the call but camera could never connect. Was a little frustrating.
I did find something about talk working in cm but not in cm10 yet. I'm sure that this will be fixed soon.

One thing that I didn't try was fixing permissions. not sure if that would fix the problem that I have with google chat

I couldn't find any CM10 builds older than M1, but I am also experiencing a low mic gain/volume when using the walkie-talkie app Voxer. This was first noticed on Euroskank builds after 09/17. 09/17 is the last Euroskank build that performs normally pertaining to the mic gain problem. I also factory/devlik wiped and loaded CM10 M1 and CM10 09/23 and am experiencing the same issue. This also occurs in Miui's 2.9.21 BETA (CM10 9/23 based) rom.

That would be unlikely to help. Permissions effect the filesystem and read/write access. If you can install apps then it is probable that your permissions are fine.
