not good to compare with him...

jerpelea is much more awesome... he has vast knowledge about android... i am just a noob compared to him...

Completely agree you on this but dont underestimate yourself..
And developers will come into play when sony releases 3.4 kernel sources for xperia s.

This for dualboot would be great !!

That would take some time because this firmware uses 3.4 kernel that means a different cpio.

So, after testing notes.

What I did like:
-Finally, smooth scrolling in menus. It is a blessing.
-Seeing a lot of updated Sony media apps. I was afraid that we would be left behind with old versions.
-Extended standby mode(though it's not working right now :p)
-Throw option. I can use it alot, when I'll get home on summer holidays.
-Small apps.(but white background for small apps honestly sucks).
-Themes. Man, that's just magnificent. I always was annoyed how you choose the theme, and the system remains mixtured with different colors - like I want to use green theme, but some elements remain blue...Now if I set Green, it's FREAKING GREEN. Switches, menus, checkboxes, volume bar.

What I didn't like:
-Home screen still has LAGS. Maybe it's because it's early beta(alpha?), but something tells me it will lag in the final release, too.

Bugs I've noticed:
-Screen flickering.
-Lack of network :)
-Extended Standby Mode sends phone to bootloop.

Hi DoomLoRD,

First, thanks for the leak!

Sorry to ask, but I have a repackaged version for boot manager, would you mind if I post it in my thread ? Or I can give you the file and you could post it here as you prefer...

Thanks,

LeTama

I would suggest you to just upload the file without the /system folder if he agrees:

so you don´t have to upload that much data and people still downloading doomlords files.

    According to your tread here:

    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2104020

Is that mean that we not going to have the final version from sony, because some idiot leaked it before its time???
It would make sense... i planned to get an xperia Z anyway.

well what gives u that idea?

as i said numerous times these internal firmwares are for testing and may not reflect what features you will see in the final update...

also look at their update schedule:
    http://blogs.sonymobile.com/2012/12...an-android-4-1-for-2012-xperia-smartphones-2/

    ...
First up, the upgrade plans* for Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V are progressing as planned – these smartphones will start to receive Jelly Bean during February and March.

Next up, Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia go will be upgraded from the end of March. Then Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S will follow in the subsequent weeks.
    ...

they have already rolled out updates for the T, V & TX, TL...

Xperia J also got updated ahead of schedule (mid March)...

so u can expect the Xperia S (and other msm8660 devices) to get updates in next few weeks...

P.S.: this might be a bit premature, but once the kernel sources for the JB update are out I will restart work for DooMKernel for this device :)
i want to sync all my work for 3.4 kernel thats why havent released any kernels for ICS so far... the last kernel i released for this device was for GB and after that i got caught up with my studies...
so as and when the sources are released u can expect DooMKernel soon with features same as the ones on the Xperia T & Xperia Z kernels....
