[q] Looking for camera fix for AOSP/CM based roms

Morning everyone!

I'm certain that recently someone posted a fix for the camera problems on AOSP/CM based roms. I've been through a variety of threads, but can't find it. Am I imagining it? If not, does anyone have a link?

What ROM? And which version?

I'm currently on the latest CM 11 nightly, but have had the same problem with PA, Liquid Smooth etc

Wipe cache + dalvik cache. Reboot. Leave it 5 minutes. Clear camera data, hold your phone steady, open camera app. There should be notification Windows ask you, whether you want to use location tag or not. Don't tap anything! I repeat, don't tap anything. Leave it 10 - 15 seconds. You'll see the background actually is your camera on streaming. Try to move it slowly, and make sure if camera is calibrated.
