Here we go ,

Hold the power button and the volume - button together until it restarts into the bootloader menu

Then tell me what's there (hboot number and of it says fastboot USB)

Do you have the fastboot files on the pc and do you know anything about fastboot commands ?

Hi,
I didn't know about that font changer app until now. You should've said something about it in the original thread.

I assume you didn't backup your stock rom in recovery, so you have to flash something else.

Yesterday you said you want to have a custom rom and not the original stock rom so the question goes:
Do you want a ROM with HTC Sense skin or a pure Android without Sense (AOSP)?
If you want your mobile running in no time, I recommend either a ICS Sense ROM or ICS/JB AOSP ROM.
If you want a JB Sense ROM it will be more work for you and a slower process.
Pick between those and I will give advice on what particular ROM yous should choose.
You can take a look here for Sense roms: http://xdaforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1536
and here for AOSP-ROMs http://xdaforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1684

My personal recommendation is the official CyanogenMod ROM, which is based on AOSP and is very stable and fluid.
Check it out here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1786696

When you have chosen your ROM, or have questions, I will help you.
Do not worry mate, I've seen hundreds of these cases and all have been sorted out just fine. :D
And please remember to click the thanks button. ;)

Hooray, tag team! :D

@awesomelyawesome
I'm sorry, but I can't find the RUU or stock nandroid backup for your main version. It might be that you can't return to stock.
ROM transfer is possible in CWM.

Marcel, please see if you can spot the RUU?

Yes, it has to be the exact same version.
Start looking for those rom varieties I posted earlier.

No, but with your current hboot version you should ignore JB Sense ROMs. All others are good.

Nope it's not there, only older ones but they are useless, guess you are stuck on a custom rom for a while ..... First we have to get fastboot up and running, download this

http://db.tt/ldx3qOOU

And put the files like this

C:\fastboot\here the files i gave you

Did u install HTC drivers ?

    If you want to run JB roms you need to get your hboot updated first.

    Guess you guys didn't pay attention. Told ya this 2 pages ago ;)

    I'm sorry if this is in the wrong space but I've been scouring the internet for days wondering if I'll ever have a working phone again.

    On my HTC One X I successfully unlocked bootloader and then flashed a custom recovery TWRP 2.4.1.0 using the HTC One X All in One Kit. I then tried to install the latest version of Viper XL. When the installation started I got an assert message, something like this:

    assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device")=="endeavoru" ||
    getprop("ro.build.product")=="endeavoru" ||
    getprop("ro.product.board")=="endeavoru" ||

    Afterwards my phone went into the infinite reboot cycle and I've been unable to even make it to bootloader by holding down the power and volume keys until my hands went numb. No luck, still rebooting loop to the HTC home screen.

    My carrier is AT&T if that matters.

    Have I bricked it? Is there a way out of this? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
    Do you have the international Tegra 3 or the north american dualcore version of the phone? Does it say evita or endeavoru on the top of bootloader?

    That's good !

    Ow you still are on the custom recovery and unlocked bootloader ? I'm doing multiple things here so I might ask you the same thing twice :D

    Ow and ttoivanen might want to help with the correct boot.img and gapps thing, I'm not into that I never use the CM10 roms

    But when you downloaded the rom you have to copy it to the sd card which you can mount in the custom recovery

    Mounts & storage - down to the bottom you see something like mount as USB diskdrive
