GUMMY

Gummy ROM is made for speed, stability and to stay as closely in line with AOSP as possible while still supporting a large amount of devices and giving you all of the features you love. It isn’t slowed down by features you’ll never use nor is it so slim as to be just another AOSP build.

Features:

* New base built from AOSP
* Status Bar Mods
* Theme Manager
* Hardware Key Mod
* Lock Screen Mod
* Many Wallpapers
* Performance Control
* Application Permission Controls
* Carrier Label Options
* Background Style
* Lock clock widget

Instructions for installations:
**Use whatever recovery, so long as it's 4.4 compatible**
1. Download ROM
2. Download Gapps
3. Push to sdcard
4. Reboot Recovery
5. Wipe Data and Cache
6. Install ROM
7. Install Gapps
8. Reboot System

Contributions:

* Thank you to Cyanogenmod for device and hardware repositories. Without this, porting Gummy to QCOM devices would have been nearly impossible.
* Thank you to Google for the best source code.
* androidfilehost.com for hosting our file servers!

Mein as well... enjoy folks, let me know how it runs! Tested on CDMA, should work fine for GSM as well.

NFC, BT, turn on but are untested. Wifi works great, as does 3g.

I use PA gapps, but any 4.4.2 gapps should work. Enjoy!

It failed to install in openrecovery it froze up during the install process.. I gave it about 4 minutes the held power and then when i got back in recovery it gave me the error message failed to mount system.
Should I just copy cm11s recovery script?

I'm not sure? I flashed in TWRP, no issues. I just assumed any recovery would be fine... hum. I haven't tried with OpenRecovery...

Get errors when flashing it with twrp.. Something about set metadata recursive failed.. there's a log somewhere right? Its something in the script can you try putting cm11s script in it.. I can't get an app to copy it over into the zip and I'm not at a computer

Here's the log

Code:
I:Can't probe device /dev/block/mmcblk0p37
E:Unable to mount '/system'
/system | /dev/block/mmcblk0p37 | Size: 0MB Used: 0MB Free: 0MB Backup Size: 0MB
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system at /system: Invalid argument

Something is up with your /system partition. Can you flash any ROM?

I don't think you're following me... can you flash a ROM? I don't see how, look at those errors - /system can't be mounted, /system is 0mb etc.

Let me try this one more time in twrp again

Same results.. twrp says error executing updater binary.. could you copy the meta-inf folder from cm11 to gummy for me?

That's odd I installed with 2.6.3.1 twrp just fine booted and everything just wouldn't boot past splash screen after fix perms

I was on Carbon 4.4 previously. All I did to flash this ROM was boot to recovery, flash Gummy & PA Gapps, factory reset from wipe menu, and boot... I've done this several times no problems.

Why did you run fix perms? Shouldn't be needed... but also shouldn't cause this issue!

    idc/kl/kcm have been recently moved from xt897 to common but not inherited from common in xt897.

    The Asanti keymaps map SYM to ALT and OK to CTRL.
    SYM(ALT) + key then can be used to enter special characters (ü, ö etc.).
    OK(CTRL) + SPACE to switch between alternate layouts.
    SYM(ALT) + SPACE to display the symbol picker dialog.
