Just damn! That's crazy! The first S4 DID burn up and now this one got so hot that I couldn't make a phone call. The lady that I talked to said: "Yes; it (the first one) could have gotten so hot (microprocessor - plus, being inside a protective case) that it could have gotten that hot." Huh??? I'm no genius, but that's a serious safety issue; particularly, if you don't make that information readily and obviously available. As far as the number of processes running; I don't get it. How does the device NOT completely exit the program - or at least give you the option to assign that parameter in the operation of either the phone, operating system, or the program? Sounds like Windows 8 to me. That's one reason I dumped Win 8 and went back to Win 7. Insanity. I'll try the Developer Option first, since I saw that in there. Problem was; my phone would randomly dump Wi-Fi operation without warning, thus upping my data consumption, as well as randomly close other processes that I did want running. the only time I ever felt a slight increase in temperature in my Atrix was during a very long phone call.
Nonetheless; thanks for the information. I was sure hoping for better news, though.
