I was not getting root, so I downloaded the zip file on my PC. First time I did it directly on my phone. This time I did it from my PC. After flashing, this time I got prompted to select twlauncher or Milocker. Didn't get that the first time. Then I downloaded SU and got root.
So I would say try from a PC and not your phone. Strange that it would work but not correctly.
Worth a try and good luck
No, I am saying I first downloaded the file on my phone and installed it. that did not give me root. Then I downloaded it on my pc, then copied it to my phone and installed it. That worked. Both times I used CWM to flash it.So are you saying you used PC ODIN? and that got you ROOT??
I don't have it either after flashing. Everything else is literally PERFECT! Best ALPHA ROM I've ever seen!
I have been keeping up on this thread since I noticed the problem but have not seen any answers or really too many people with the same problem. When setting a min/max clock and governor they do not stick. I know we do not have an OC kernel build yet but mine is sticking at 1.2 and performance. Just wondering if I missed a fix or if I just had a bad flash?

samsung doesnt like wallpaper scrolling unfortunately. glad to hear that its smooth. my dl stopped so i had to start over. err, its taking forever.
Dag knows how yo fix it... He did it in the gingerbread RomArgh! Tried taking the backgrounds out of res folder in the SMemo.apk to try and make a 240 version. Guess I don't really know what I'm doing.
Re-sized the setting_paper_xx.png files and put them back in..
S-Memo crashes.
Man.. ICS S-Memo is much improved too. Way better ink / pen response. Want to use it at 240 LCD Density.
What wifi issue? No wifi issue here
Yes that's why i use Nova... I was saying stock tw launchers don't have it built in.I downloaded the ICS Phase Beam LWP from the market. It scrolls fine in Nova.

Fyi for anyone interested, if you try to edit a picture in the Instagram app the whole phone locks up and hard reboots or remains locked up until you forcefully reboot it.
I was on Alpha 1, no probs. None of the issues that I read other people were having.
Just flashed Alpha 2, and my Market is crashing. No go.
I did a full wipe/cache/dalv.cache. Went back and did fix permissions.
Looking for a solution to that.
The only other things I've noticed so far is that (using Apex), it is really slow when adding shortcuts; when I hit 'applications', it takes a while for them to all show up.
Also, I'm not in an LTE area, so I used to switch my mobile networks to 3g/hspa only, but no more option for that...
Here are some Hybrid instructions with the new pad.prop:
I have found it easier to run tablet UI and push apps to higher than 213 to make them look like normal phone apps and keep whatever works tablet mode untouched. You also have the option to use Phone UI and force apps the apps that have a tablet UI into DPI 213 and under.
The build.prop and pad.prop work as a team.
The line in build.prop:
# for 480x800 panel
ro.sf.lcd_density=
decides if your phone is going to be base tablet or base phone.
-if you put 213 or lower it will be base tablet with the fancy buttons at the bottom of the screen and the pop notification from the lower right.
-if you put 214 or higher it will be base phone with the normal phone look
if you want tablet UI with forcing phone into apps that do not have a tablet UI or look weird in tablethow i do it)
build.prop line should be 213
pad.prop:
pa.system_default_dpi=213
pa.user_default_dpi=(whatever you want, just remember the bigger you go, the harder it is to see text on tablet UI apps)
If you want Phone UI with forcing apps with tablet UI into tablet mode
build.prop line should be 214 or higher
pad.prop:
pa.system_default_dpi=213(this make the status bar and fonts really small)
pa.user_default_dpi=(again, whatever you want, but the bigger you go the harder it is to see text in tablet UI apps)
AND AND AND AND AND
you have to put the apps that have tablet UI into /system/app folder
