CLOCKWORKMOD-RECOVERY FOR GALAXY S II (GT-I9100)

This is a kernel including ClockworkMod Recovery for use on Samsung ICS or JB roms.

Instructions
  • Power your device off
  • Boot into Download-Mode using Volume Down + Home + Power
  • Hit Volume Up to accept the warning
  • Start Odin
  • Choose "GT-I9100_ClockworkMod-Recovery_X.X.X.X.tar" as PDA (no repartition)
  • Connect your Phone
  • Start flashing
  • After reboot you can easily root your device using SuperOneClick

Usage
Volume Up + Home + Power boots your Phone into Recovery Mode.

Volume up: Highlight up
Volume down: Highlight down
Home: select
Power: back

- modify build.sh to fit your needs
- execute it, the final zImage will be at out/

I'm newbie.

I have Litening v1.3 rom installed with CF-root 3.7 KE8 based and clockworkmod recovery 3.0.0.5 installed.

Could i update to this recovery ??

Yeah custom ROM's crash the Wifi, not sure what else ...

CWM Recovery 4.0.0.1 is nice, but you select the menu items using the power button, not the home button. The home button moves you up the menu list.

Navigation with the volume is as standard.

Can we flash ROMs and kernels from CWM4?

I guess that a custom rom will flash whatever Recovery is built in.

if I want try this version of CWM, need to install also the initramfs template ?

As far as I understand, this is just basic groundwork for eventual Cyanogenmod support inside the kernel... Meaning custom kernels will have to incorporate these changes to be supported by CM7 (CF-Root for example)...

Correct me if I'm wrong? ;)
