DooMLoRD...

I am using this kernel on the KA11 v2 ROM..

I have SetCPU with "Set On Boot" enabled..
But every reboot, it reverts back to the ondemand governor.

I want it to be Performance governor even on reboot without having to change it.

Is this possible or is it "set" with the kernel?

Setting it via setcpu should work.... Incase it doesnt try nofrills... If u still have same issue check if the Rom u using has scripts which are setting awake/sleep governors...

I know I'm using it on a rom that this kernel was not intended to work with, so I may be SOL at this point. I'm on CM9 114 for CDMA, and am running this kernel on it. I love that this kernel has so many options for I/O scheduler and Governor, which is why I really want to stay with it. However, wifi doesn't want to turn on, even after trying the wifi fix and modules that are recommended for use with this kernel. Any ideas or fixes for this, DooMLoRD?

Hey DooMLoRD, scripts in /etc/init.d/ don't seem to launch (they've got the correct 777 permissions).

Any ideas? Have you tested this on Play?

Also, nice work on getting the HTC One X! :D

I also was disappointed with the Xperia S :(

Does anybody have system crashes when playing games or stressing the cpu with intensive apps and oc'ing? I am using the lower boot kernel (1.6 ghz max)

You're gonna have crashes if you stress the cpu while overclocked. It just means that you are overclocking too high, and need to scale it down a bit.

All devices don't support overclocking

Sent from my HTC One X using XDA

Indeed. While all phones in a certain model line are made of the same parts, it doesn't mean they all run as well. Do you have these problems at stock level of 1ghz? If not, it looks like your phone can't handle overclocking.

Mother of overclocking ...
I've been jumping through android phones and ergo reading every section of the coresponding device and every time the same thing.
Logically thinking, if you look at my post and spend more than 1 ms analyzing it you will see that this is not one of those questions: "Will overclocking leave my device pregnant?"
I have had this device running very well with no hick-ups at 1.4 ghz tops on your V10 Doomkernel on gingerbread.
But on this I'm having weird behaviour and I was thinking that maybe it's because of the lower boot kernel.
Sorry for snapping btw, but people really need to read sometimes

I was planning to restart work on the kernel for 2011 devices but when i look around the forum i was extremely disappointed to see "devs" ripping off my kernel sources, not even asking for permissions, then releasing their kernel under their own "tag" and not even bothering to mention my work...

FYI more than 90% of the features of some of these kernels are based off my sources...
    https://github.com/DooMLoRD/Xperia-2011-Kernel-2.6.32.9/commits/master
    https://github.com/DooMLoRD/Xperia-2011-Kernel-2.6.32.9/commits/ics-zeus
    https://github.com/DooMLoRD/Xperia-2011-Kernel-2.6.32.9/commits/ics-mogami
    https://github.com/DooMLoRD/Xperia-2011-Kernel-2.6.32.9/commits/play-cdma

its very easy to port from the same device kernel when all fixes and all the hard work has been done by someone else... being open source doesnt mean that u can just rip off others work,..

do u know how many hours i spent getting the kernel optimized with all the features it has? hundreds of hours and numerous test releases...

i had introduced tons of features into the semc 2011 kernel which people hadnt even thought of before was possible on these devices...

its really shameful to such ripping off sources under the pretext of opensource and not even have the courtesy to acknowledge...

so i have decided that i will not be continuing any further work on these kernels... and will be shutting down all my 2011 devices kernel threads...

    regards,

    DooMLoRD
