Sorry OG, ive trolled the last few pages and cant find the answer to this,
But what exactly are the differences between;
  • that thae(pure)
  • khlang(crazed)

I'm still running og-gnex-4.0.4-307-1.2-ndfs-vcfcs-ak-3.1.5 at the moment and would like to update...

Hi

Is there any chance of a "that thae" kernel with the fast charge option. I get great battery life with it but dearly miss the protection that fast charge offers. I often top up charge from unknown computers when IM out and about.

Thanks for the consideration.

Current: Galaxy Nexus I9250/XXLA2, TricksterROM v1.0 .1 IMM76I/James Bond v3.1 (learning)
Retired: Nexus S I9020T/XXKI1, PixelROM 1.72/Trinity T11 09/04/12 (perfection achieved)

Hi,

why don't you flash klang (crazed) that one has great battery life also!

I love the 307mhz gpu. I have klang installed right now, but I'm finding that battery life was better on that thae.

Thanks

How's the testing going on?

jury is still out on 3.1i....it is a good kernel but may or may not be as "good" as 3.1
it is hard to say, it is close. mike216 said that he felt it wasn't as good (i think he was talking about over-night idle)
I'm still running 3.1i and am going to go back to 3.1 and run that for a day and the verdict will be out

oh right because it disables the use of usb storage...try 3.1.7, if you don't like the colors, I could tweak "mike's" kernel branch;)
I have been thinking about a full feature kernel with stock colors, but after running 3.1 for a couple days I realize I HATE the stock colors...

Is this something people would like to see? before you answer yes (if you are running 3.1.7) flash 3.1 and get a good look at the colors for a day;)

Holy cow! Thank you for the quick response.

To be honest, now that you mention it, I do prefer the color of "that thae" but to be fair, I've not played with the color on the current khlang.

Thanks

Edited: just flashed the khlang/307, and it's looking great. I'm not sure what the color setting are but it looks gorgeous. Noted there are two 007 init.d scripts. I'm guessing the .bkk version.

It (test kernel i) felt great speed wise but it wasn't as good as the current two versions available When it comes to screen on drain. I'm not the right person to ask about idle drain because at home my signal is not so good and these Verizon radios burn battery even with data off when idle in a horrible signal area. All in all OG has taught me that new doesn't always mean better! If its Interactive governor or kernel patches its a continuous work in progress

I agree it is better but its very minimal. If your a weird obsessive compulsive battery freak like me then you might find yourself being very happy with (pure) OGs perfection. I found both to be amazingly better then any other kernel out there when it comes to battery life and performance! OGs a kernel vet and throughout the years he sure has learned a lot when it comes finding the sweet spot between battery without sacrificing performance :)

Lol. Very first post of thread has details.

sent with 3g courage. better recognize. 4g courage coming soon. stock up on diapers.

Love your responses bro....always correct and very humurous!

Thank you for both your responses.
A simple explanation of "pure" and "crazed" wouldve been sufficient.

It's easy to make an assumption as to what both mean and what both do, but i thought to get confirms first... not a bunch of smart ass remarks.

Cheers

Lol. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Nobody was being a smart ass. How much more direct and to the point could I have got? Pure and crazed would've told you nothing. Cheers back atcha.

    everything boots to stock settings
included is system/etc/init.d/007tweaks.bkk which are my preferred settings (just rename to 007tweaks)
