i just got my S3 it came with LH9 but i flashed a rooted LG1. I am just wondering what is even the advantage of going through this process to update it back to LH9?

The brightness bar and some bug fixes. For example, with LG1, music goes to my bluetooth even when I have something plugged into the headphone jack, but with LH9 it doesn't.

thanks, i plan on flashing some roms later on but i'll probably do this for now just to get rid of the update notification. I'm confused as to which zip i should use though. Coming from rooted stock LG1 can i just do I747UGLH9_OTA_no_kernel_bootloader_modem.zip or should I use I747UCALH9_OTA.zip

edit: used the full zip and it worked

The full zip is fine. The other one would have updated only the ROM and not the kernel, bootloader, or modem. That would also have worked, but would not be a complete LH9 update.

So has anyone tested these modification files on the new mrrobison JB image? Specifically the tether/cell fix and the 15 toggle ones?

Thanks!

I tried flashing the 15 toggle Mod on the new JB update and it froze on the Updating System during boot. Had to restore Nandroid.

Anyone know if these mods can be revised for the new JB build?

Coming from UCALEM/UCLEM, stock rooted with a few mods... No inc ring tone, native tether enabled, mr Robinsons debloat. I want to update but Im afraid to flash anything since cant backup imei info. *#7428# phoneutil crashes every time. I did a nandroid backup last night. I also have nandroid from original CWM install. Should I revert back to original backup, try to save IMEI, then flash updates? Im a little confused as to where I should start with updating. TIA
