Hi,

With the flashtool you should be able to flash the phone to newst 2.1 Firmware.

Download flashtool:
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=920746

Download X10 mini PRO (U20) 2.1 firmware:

U20i:
http://www.multiupload.com/VNSYH9BC98 (Nordic thanks to stillka)
http://www.multiupload.com/XMZOH7CG9O (UK thanks to dyzzel) [fixed]
http://www.multiupload.com/JHHSU9O8B7 (Singapore thanks to Rich_RH)
http://www.mediafire.com/?84gilnrl70w4x6e (French thanks to siefgred)
http://www.multiupload.com/45WGBISPUN (German)
http://www.multiupload.com/Y23XY05RWA (NL thanks to dyzzel)

NOTE THIS IS ONLY FOR MINI PRO NOT FOR MINI!!!

Note:
1.) You have to disable Vista/7 UAC! If not you are running in problems !
2.) You will get the Nordic Hardwarekeyboard-Layout. Look in this thread to solve this:
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=822050
3.) You HAVE TO WIPE USERDATA! If Not you will be stuck in booting Loop!

Those willing to configure set their keyboard to AZERTY must back up their qwerty-en.klm.bin in the system/usr/keychars/mimmi/keyprints of their 1.6 device.

Even though it's labeled "-en" it's indeed the Azerty layout.

After rooting your 2.1, overwrite qwerty.klm.bin & mimmi_keypad.klm.bin in the system/usr/keychar folder as described here http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=825087&page=2, then chmod both files to rw-r--r-- and you're all good, swiftkey will work.

You may aso want to change the language of the latin layout in the following file : /system/usr/keyboard-config/keyprint.xml

<script name="latin" keylayout="azerty"/>

Have fun

Works

There are few steps missing:

you have to install Java JDK (JRE is not enough), and also Sony Ericsson Update Service.

It iz weRkz!! Thanks Bin4ry!
A few concerns, I thought this was the Nordic Firnware, but when I checked it is still Generic World (see screenshot)

Does this mean I can reflash it through SEUS when SE releases the real update for the Generic World (with the default keyboard and others).
sZbhF.png

if not.

Can you please upload (or atleast point me) to where I can download the old .sin for u20i Generic World so I can reflash to 1.6 again when SE releases the 2.1? No disrespect sir B1n4ry (a million kudos to you) I'm just archiving other options just in case. Thanks a lot! Astig!

You have to decrypt the files from SEUS db folder to backup your old version.
Here i posted the Decrypt tool for that:
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8947532&postcount=5

You have to open command prompt and use it like this:
SeusDecrypt.bat FILE_12345678

Then you will get files that you can extract the .tgz files with 7zip!

Please search a little the forums here!
You have to remove 64Bit Java and reinstall 32bit Java. If you get "java not recognized ...." you have to adapt your envoirment variables!
