Except...not in the US. Just because you can download and flash the P2610 firmware from another country doesn't mean it is available in Kies for the US. Based off the fact that the average user cannot actually update to the newer firmware (if you have to read and follow instructions perfectly to not brick your device, the firmware isn't widely available) that means that Samsung dropped the ball on support.
Still wrong, the USA version (Cellular south) is available, here''s the link.

@naturefreak - I upgraded my 6210 to ICS via Kies in September. This was the official US update. As noted it has to be installed via Kies, not by OTA. Not sure why you continue to insist that this isn't true.

I upgraded to ICS OTA in USA. GT7+ notified me of an update and I installed it. Unfortunately, it unrooted me and all my apps were gone.

Mainly because when I plug it into Kies it doesn't tell me an update is available, (as of last week actually) if I force it to check for an update through Kies it still states such. Now I bought my N7 and use it as a remote control at this point, so it's not the end of the world, I removed CM10 from my device, my statement still stands that Samsung dropped the ball. Clearly I can force the update, but with the glitch that exists in quite a few Samsung firmwares, I'm skeptical about the risk of bricking my device. The average user also won't actually find a firmware on a download site and download it.

If Kies tells me my device is up to date at 3.2 then the likelihood is that I'm not alone.

There doesn't seem to be a groundswell of posts from folks saying they have the same issue as you've described. I suspect you're the unfortunate owner of a device with a unique problem. JMO Good luck with whatever approach you take to achieve a satisfactory end result.

I also updated my GT7+ via kies, had to go back to stock and do a factory reset before kies would see my 7+ to update it.

Once you modify the firmware, Samsung has the option to wash their hands of you. Which it appears they have.
Looks like the ball is in your court and you dropped it. LOL
