I like to see wich % of power leaves .... Now in the today tab only can see a battery icon with four ticks.
It will be possible to change this icon with a battery icon and an % charge left.

Hi, just came across this "WM 6.5.x Start Menu Replacement" http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=817137 in other ROM's thread and it looks quite interesting. I'm testing it and get more than 10MB of free RAM. Maybe you don't need the StartProgWOSense.

When you try to add some cities to HTC Sense (your city + other) and you use update button in "wifi mode" it fails to update and says "it can't connect, retry?" Maybe it's a problem with language files or the city files are out of date because there aren't some of them that previous versions of sense had.... (In Spain for example... Lugo, La Coruña,...)

I have seen a start menu replacement that can help you to save some ram and it has 4/5 shortcut for often apps in this tread. It works, maybe you would like to include it with your rom (4-3 % more ram in ES1.rc6)

Good morning everybody! I've been a bit pre-occupied recently (had my gf here since tuesday) so haven't had much of a chance to provide answers to all your questions.
Anyhoo, here they are:
@djkail: I've experimented with that. It does indeed save about 5% RAM when you remove the start menu, the thing is-it's a total removal, not just disable. Take the cab apart and you'll find 3 empty start menu *.cpr files.
The menu replacement you mention is actually included in ES. You just need to switch it on, to save the ram you allso need to install Arto's cab to remove the WM6.5 menu. One problem though, if you remove the actual WM6.5 start menu you can't get access to "All Settings" from the Sense tab-so the only settings you can modify are the ones in the tab. Try it, YMMV, but that's what happened to me.
Cheers for reminding me about SPWOS, I need to let cyber-junkie know that I did some more work on it. There's some pretty major differences infact, in addition to a few bugs being fixed. Take a look at the code from the stock version compared to my modified one and you'll see.
For the weather problem, have you got "My Location" switched on? I've seen that error when updating via Wi-Fi myself sometimes cos location services needs cell towers to work...
If you're a weather junkie, you should totally check out TitaniumWeather, I have to say-the version included knocks the socks off Sense's weather page, in every way-the only limit is that you can only have one location, but it does do "My Location" via sleuth's service-i've found it way more reliable than Sense too.

SPWOS is needed regardless because Sense generates a tile cache-i.e. you have about 40-45mb of ram, depending on the rom, at boot which is fine for almost every application. But switch tabs and you'll see that 40mb decrease very rapidly to about 20mb and lower over time. Sense will always do this so removing the start menu only really helps at boot. Plus, I've put in a fair few hours to SPWOS!
@gs1960: Which screen is that one? I'm on Sx atm, and when I set an alarm if I set it to repeat it does work, but the repeat is about 20-30 seconds later. Screenshots aren't so good in helping me troubleshoot the issue. It's better to tell us the menu steps you took to get to the screen, translated into english if possible too! e.g. Start>Settings>Clocks and Alarms>Alarms tab etc...
@ola486: pagepool_changer is useful for changing the pagepool of the ROM it's set at 10mb to begin with. You don't really need it but I'd recommend changing to 12 if you're using ES. For more info, google.

Testing Fodd Extra Sense on 6.5.x
After using this ROM for 2 days(with Sense),
just found a bug... sometimes, after restart, my favorite contact at people tab is missing
the speed is stable and good for our diamond.But the only problems i found is out of free RAM after 24 hour usage
after boot, 30-34mb free RAM, but after many hours, only left around 18mb free RAM, using cleanRAM not really give a lots effect.
hope your next update will increase free RAM, maybe some tweak or compress

The next ESx will be with the 28240 base, which I haven't graphically optimised yet, but I'm getting similar figures with Sx compared to before the change of WM6.5.x build (they're about 2mb out) I might be able to do something with the theme by taking it apart and recompressing the images but I think that's about all I can do WRT that.
I haven't had much interest in ESx but then again it's still served from ubuntu one so I have no idea how many of you have downloaded it.
@miguel_correia: Sorry dude, but I still haven't had a chance to look into adding Portugese since I've been doing so much work on TitaniumWeather, XDA_UC, SPWOS etc etc etc... along with my uni work.
I promise you I'll look at it this week. The bonus with megaupload is that I don't seem to be limited as to what I can put there so space shouldn't be a problem once I can build it. Have you translated the manila locker/facebook tab/call history xml's found on post #3? If not, please download the file linked there under ES issues and attach them here so I can pop them into the build when I get round to it.

anyway i don't really understand about UC
next i'll read about that.as i say, the ROM running very good, i love this sense.
1. About RAM, after soft reset, the free RAM is +/- 30mb, but after i using it for a hours, like sending text, make a call, see albums picture, weather, etc. the free RAM decrease to <20mb, so i run cleanRAM level 3, maximal free RAM after it is +/- 25mb.
RAM usage is very good. Around 20-25mb free ram at average, everyday usage. But, its WM 6.5.3 with Sense 2019, RAM usage is best
recently, i install Start Menu Replacement, its give more +/- 10mb free RAM
now i have +/- 30mb free RAM.
2. Battery is good and getting better after a week of usage (as usual).
3. Sound quality of a phone call is good. No echo at all.
Pros:
- stable, low mem usage for WM 6.5.3+Sense 2019, can recommendable for everyday work
Cons:
- because its testing state, maybe there more some bugs that i still not found
i can't wait your next update for WM6.5.x with sense 2019

the ROM so far very good, fast and stable. But I met a problem, during a call, the screen backlight off, and lock the screen, if i wakeup the screen, the screen display just like broken, i try if can capture the screen.
This effect always happens to me every 3 days of use. In all versions of the ROMs.
@cliveming and @sandokanito have you tried MTTY to flash the rom? Use this method to flash the room and avoid problems (posted in this thread #1)

Yeah, I noticed that too.
I thought it might have been like the old status bar glitch that occurred with Sx a while ago. You can work around it by installing Touch InCall Screen Tweak from the recommended cabs and setting "Disable Autolock during call".

Always used MTTY method before to flash the rom (cmd -> task 29). With other roms don´t happens this issue. I don´t use other software to customization.
(In Spanish: siempre uso MTTY y con otras roms no pasa esto. No utilizo ningún soft de customización)

Another question, i doesnt undertand what difference ES ans SX have ... only wm 6.5 versus 6.5.x? anything else?

9Ok, first of all a thank you. To yozgatg for inspiring me with his Gen.Y series and kitchen which is where I got my first experience. Also thanks to airxtreme for his awesome OSKitchen. To abrasive and etoy for their work on Sense 2.5. Also to Nirak for his testing genius and all the help given to users on the thread. One goes out of course to the rest of the community at xda. Last, but far from least to my only donator, gs1960!
These are complete ROMs but also vanilla and feeling clean, as they have User Customisation it's easy to include your own CABs. My focus is making them as bug and quirk free as possible and also to give us more RAM since WM6.5 takes up so much! It has some registry tweaks to make it work nicer and almost every image in the kitchen is Graphically Optimised to be as light as can be!
I started making them for a few reasons:
- Manila Start Menu-Didn't like having to set my own program list, wm6.5 does this very nicely for us.
- The other main reason is text messaging-wm6.5 introduced a 3rd line in the threaded view when composing an sms, hurray! This change I fell in love with immediately!
- The new lock screen is quite cool. Although it is disabled for memory purposes initially-you can re-enable it. See post #3 for how to do it.
- I kept finding little bugs in other ROMs which had "Known Issues" posts with just "None" listed. This is why my thread has post #2, post #3 is for notes, upcoming features and to-dos.

Don't worry about the name of the file that actually gets downloaded. Just rename it to diamimg.nbh and it should work fine. See this post for an explanation. Well, sort of.

This is getting asked alot, so here is the answer. I have no idea why my upload server does this but it sometimes gives the file you download a different name from RUU_Signed-0409.nbh, which is the original one from my PC and what I see on the server. In most cases it's the last 3 letters of the public link and I myself have had on another occasion simply 'download' so lord knows what else it might come up with. A curiosity is that this works flawlessly on Firefox, on ubuntu-but I have had it in google chrome on windows xp.
It is absolutely fine (and necessary) to give these files an extension of "nbh". diamimg.nbh is recommended so you can flash from Internal Storage/SD Card
And the proof, this was ES1.beta3. The first is the original file from my hard drive, the second is the file I downloaded through firefox, which I had to rename since it downloaded correctly, the last is the file I just downloaded on google chrome which seems to reliably do this, so in conclusion, I blame your browser

wm6.5 slide to unlock delay
If you choose to re-enable this, I had much success with setting HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\FirstCalibration=0 to elimite the delay before you can unlock the device. Beware though, this causes the HTC LongPressEndKey to stop working
LongPressEndKey
I came across this problem after implementing the above fix. So if you can't stand the lock screen delay, do the above and put an icon in the start menu, or change manila's right soft key to be "EndKey"

Favourites through Sense
The favourites page in Sense 2.5, since 2012 are in WVGA. This means that, if you have bookmarks going all the way to the bottom then you won't be able to select/edit the last two. A workaround for this is to create 2 blank bookmarks at the bottom of the list. I have not found a fix for this yet, and I'm uncertain on whether the bug appeared in 2012 or if it was maybe earlier so this might never be fixed.
Space swallowing/other difficulties
The update to EzInput still hasn't sorted out the space swallowing problem. It also seems that this version of Sense causes some problems with messaging from the people tab, e.g. going into symbols then reverts straight back to normal qwerty (I have symbol lock disabled on mine, btw)
Facebook Support
When attempting to update status via the "My Contact Card" page, the share button is off screen and cannot be clicked. This feature works with the full Facebook tab so use that instead. Internal authentication sometimes does not work, try external if you have problems with this.
Freezing with Manila Locker
It's beautiful but such a shame. Seems to happen randomly, but always at the worst time for me! It is disabled by default for this reason.

Rhodium Dialer
Sometimes when a call comes in, or after you start dialing; the "End Call" and "Keypad" buttons are hidden under the bottom bar. Usually i've found this is caused by CleanRAM so set phcanvga in it's exceptions
SIP Menu
Remember the SIP key is meant to have a little arrow at the right hand side and you can't go wrong. Tap on the left, SIP in/out, tap on the right and SIP Menu appears. This was driving me bonkers until I realised it!
Calculator Rotation
Rotation in 6.5.x is only allowed automatically for fullscreen applications therefore Calculator will not rotate to the scientific landscape layout. A workaround is to set "Settings>Personal>Buttons>Program Buttons" and then "Button 1(Hold)" to "<Rotate Screen>" then when you're anywhere in the wm6.5, press and hold the call key to rotate, et voila! Landscape scientific keyboard in HTC calculator!
Calendar Entries
This doesn't apply to creating manila appointments, just using the native calendar application. When creating an entry if you want to set a reminder or alarm for the entry you cannot finger scroll that specific drop down list. Use the d-pad to select e.g. 15/30/45/60 mins or however long before the entry you want the reminder to occur and then the middle key to select.

I am useing Fodd Titanium on 6.5.x and i found that you can put Windows Media Player controls on your lockscreen. (With "auto lock when screen dims" it is awesome)
