Update: Roman wants to wait until Milestone 5 is released to add in this device. Until then I'll be trying to just release the officials on the same day they're announced.

I am glad that you will be sticking with this for a while longer. The rom kicks asd and your dedication and effort has been something else! Thanks again for all of this.

@Jermaine

When you say wipe recommended for the new version, do you mean full wipe data / factory reset, or do you think I can get away with leaving /data intact (coming from the last build) ?

I copied and pasted that from the main AOKP changelog. I flashed over and it seems to be fine. But we all know the drill; if you have issues, you may need to wipe. ;)

Build 32: Nice.

The custom Nav Bar works now. Given the amount of real estate available on a tablet nav bar, it is great to be able to use it for extra nav buttons.

I like having the search and menu icons always show.

Hey Jermaine,

In this build, have you incorporated the ability to reboot into recovery from the reboot menu that Roach2010 fixed.

Hey Jermaine,

No, because if everyone doesn't install that version of CWM, they will end up in a "Boot-to-recovery" loop and it's not worth the risk. If Koush adds that change upstream so that all of the updated versions of CWM use it, I'd be glad to enable it. I have had the line in my build forever, but I took it out once I found myself in that loop.
Code:
TARGET_RECOVERY_PRE_COMMAND := "echo 'boot-recovery' > /dev/block/mmcblk0p3; sync"

Do you know by chance/heard if there is any talk of implementing cornerstone into the official milestone 5 TF201 AOKP release? I tried it out recently on the EOS rom and it is awesome. If that could be implemented into AOKP my life would be complete haha

:) No, but yesterday I started trying to make a cornerstone build for folks to play with. I have issues to work out with the code.

Two things for Jermaine...

Add me to the pile of people who are indebted to you for making our device awesome.

And I would LOVE to play with a cornerstone version. I hope/know you can do it and do it well.

All this is great news Jermaine! I have watched as you have worked very diligently to perfect this ROM and I am stoked to be running it. Thank you for all your hard work man. You will make an excellent addition to the AOKP team and they'd be lucky to have you. You've made the TP better than even ASUS could have imagined! Props brother.

I doubt that I'll be joining TeamKang (not that I wouldn't be honored to). I just want this to go official so that you guys get your builds right away and I can work on some other projects for us. :D

With relation to the browser locking up, I have only experienced this while a page is still loading, forum sites like XDA take a while to load, ad you tend to start browsing the page before load has completed.

the only other time I have seem this occur is when there are loads of large imaged on the page.

I honestly don't think this is a ROM problem but an ICS / device problem.
I experienced the same on my HP Touchpad, I thought it was an issue with the rom that I was using. It happens less for me on the prime.

Thanks Jermaine for the hardwork! My theme has been updated to support the new version.

But here's a bug report unfortunately. Anyone else with this issue? It happened with stock as well.

I found an issue:

When in Rom Control / Navbar Settings - pressing "Reset Navbar" in the upper right corner - SystemUI stops working, it continously force closing. Even a reboot can't solve this. I had to reinstall the whole Rom.

It happens to me as well, only on this ROM, and mostly when the page has flash content. For instance I stream hockey games online and they are streamed wih Flash.
If I watch them on this ROM and I rotate the screen or if the screen goes from full to normal size, the browswer then stops responding.
You cannot get to any websites, whatever URL you try , the browser just hangs. Does it with stock, opera, firefox, all the time. If I restore to a prior stockish ROM it does not happen. The only way to fix it is either boot or go into Apps and clear cache and defaults.
Just an fyi, not knocking this ROM in anyway, I love it I thinks its awesome and I appreciate the hard work. :)

Yeah, I noticed the oversized button overlay too. Those are upstream changes so I'm sure they'll fix them in the next build. I added a link to v1.12 for anyone that wants to stick with build 31.

GPL Kernel source: This ROM uses the Asus stock V9.4.2.21 kernel (unmodified) and the sources may be downloaded from here: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Eee+Pad+Transformer+P rime+TF201&p=20&s=16

*** Disclaimer: I, nor TeamKang, nor anyone but YOU is responsible for what you flash or do to your tablet!

This is based on TeamKang's AOKP - Build 33 (Android 4.0.4).

Thanks to Romanbb and TeamKang for putting together this awesome rom.
Thanks to the CyanogenMod team for all they do.
Thanks to BuzzBumbleBee for the initial device tree for the Prime (I made a lot of changes to this)
Thanks to konrad1337 and sportsstar89 for sharing all of their fixes to the original Transformer! I couldn't have done this without them!
Thanks to _motley for his awesome kernel and for just being a good guy!
Thanks to youngnex for giving me a better solution to the CRT animation issue.

I hope I didn't forget anyone but if I did, PM me and I'll add you.

I have added in a few of the Asus widgets and applications like:

    -Weather Widget
    -Battery Widget
    -Email Widget and Email client
    -MyWater Live Wallpaper
    -SuperNote
    -Maybe more that I forgot...

Check out the ROM Feature list here.

Check out the comprehensive FAQ by brainfire!

    Bugs:
    • BT tether seems to only work for the web browser
    • 2 IME icons in the notification bar:
      • Settings-->Rom Control-->General-->Uncheck Show IME and reboot.
    • No Super IPS mode (See dalingrin's quote below)
    All this bickering about IPS+....
Its a gimmick, folks. All Asus does is artificially limit the backlight if IPS+ is disabled.
AOKP and CM9 already support all the same brightness levels and "IPS+" that stock has. The only difference is we don't limit the brightness slider. In other words, if you move the brightness slider all the way to the right in CM9 or AOKP then it is exactly the same as turning on IPS+ and moving the slider all the way to the right in stock. There's no special mode or anything like that, the panel is just especially bright.
Okay, here's the deal on some of the Asus apps (FileManager2.apk, MyZine.apk, etc). They're looking for a method in the Asus stock rom that is not there: android.os.Environment.getEpadInternalStoragePubli cDirectory

I'm not sure how I'll be able to get around this.

    installation-1.png
    1. Make sure you're on the latest TWRP or CWM recovery
    2. MAKE A NANDROID
    3. wipe data/factory reset in recovery
    4. flash ROM
    5. flash Gapps
    6. reboot
    7. If you're installing a new build without wiping, you STILL need to reflash gapps right after flashing the build!!!

On a side note: Folks, please don't PM me questions like "how do I flash this?" or "help! It won't boot!". Those questions belong in this thread. That allows other people to help you and keeps me from having to answer the same question repeatedly. My PMs are for development questions and sharing as well as for contacting testers.

    Thanks for understanding.

You asked, I listened and I answered. I made this rom my biotch!
