Your talking about the same app no ? Smart status bar ? ( when in full screen mode )

Im using this app to hide the notification bar after 3sec time out and POP down when i get a notification.. . . i don't know what your doing with it if this is not what the app does !

Im mental or you need some coffee ?

What I was trying to say is it doesn't by itself hide the status bar for u since u already stated it shows up in apps if I understand u have it hidden from launcher but not apps I use cm expand desktop which keeps it hidden 24/7 except on Lockscreen ( status bar cannot be hidden on default Lockscreen unless u decompile ur Lockscreen from ur ROM ) as far as hiding it on the Lockscreen the only was is to use 3rd party apps like widgetlocker or hololocker

Same as me then, I have CM10.1 with launcher settings set to full screen mode, however the Notification bar shows in Apps.

The only time the NOTIF bar is hidden is home screens / app tray.

In any app / Settings e.c.t the NOTIF bar always shows

Hi, I have a Note 2 and I came from the stock rom 4.1.2, that has a very nice status bar that can be displayed from full screen apps, just like the Miui roms. Also it has the controls in a ribbon on the top.

Recently I changed to the 4.2.2 PAC-man rom that has great features from AOPK, Paranoid and CM, but its status bar does not show in full screen, so after searching the Web I ended here.

Nice project but unfortunately your app it is not working for me. It starts but when I'm using any full screen app and I try to draw the status bar only a haptic vibration occurs, but nothing is displayed. I did read all the thread but I did not find anything that could solve this. I would be glad if you can help me.

Thanks and sorry for my english.

Hi,
If you know how to use adb to capture log, can you help me to run a test?
Steps
(1) type adb logcat -s statusbar
(2) Then go to the tutorial mode in my app.
(3) Try to swipe down from top few times.
(4) Press home key to leave tutorial mode
(5) Repeat step 2 to 4 few times
(6) Then show me the log (You can post here or email to kiumiu.ca@gmail.com)

Thanks.

Thanks for the log. From your problem description and from the log you provided, full screen detection worked correctly. I will update a special vesion later today and post in my reply. Hope you can download and try it again when it is posted. Thanks again.

Hi, I've been busy at work and I just saw your response.

Any news about the special version update? I really want to try the updated app, before I change the Rom from PACman to ProBAM. The new Rom is also based on AOPK, Paranoid and CM, so I dont know if it has the same problem with the status bar on full screen as on the PACman Rom.

I also want to try the other options from your app, as the rom controls in a ribbon on the top of the status bar like the Sammy stock roms.

Thanks for your efforts. :cowboy:

Hi @jerryfan2000

Great app, I got one request: could you unlink the autohide time for the statusbar from the time for the notifications panel? I want the bar to pop up on new notifications and to disappear after a few seconds but I don't want the panel to disappear one I opened it by swiping it down. Doable?

Hi,
It is doable with root. My original plan was to make it 100% root free. So thats why I didn't do it. But I will study now how to introduce some advanced features with root while at same time making it transparent to non root users.

This app is developed by the same Dev who makes the popular Android Apps Button Savior, Smart Taskbar, and Everywhere Clipboard.

Smart Statusbar is the first and only statusbar enabler for full screen apps on android devices. No more lose track of time or important info on statusbar when you are reading, playing, or watching movie.

To enable statusbar, just do a simple top down swipe from top of screen. By default, statusbar will shows 5 seconds. You can also adjust the timeout to your preference in settings.

Please note. This app doesn't work on Honeycomb and ICS based Tablets. They are very different from phone version of Android. So no statusbar hidden problem on those tablets. So do not download if you want to use it on ICS or HC tablets.

    NO ROOT REQUIRED!

    FEATURES
☆ Reveal statusbar in full screen apps
    ☆ Gesture activation
☆ Works on 2.0 and up
    ☆ Adjustable statusbar enabling duration
    ☆ Vibration hint

In reply the request from IvanNCase and Prockkaii. I indeed had plan to add this feature but i am still trying. It is not easy. So maybe will never make it at all. But I will try my best to introduce this feature.

I went through previous posts regarding feature requests today. Generally, there are 4 items that were actually part of my plan during development. But unfortunately they are impossible to do for now due to limitation in API.

    (1) Swipe up to close statusbar - It is not possible because there is no API to monitor statusbar visibility. I am more than happy to add this one if future OS has API to do it.

    (2) Ability to force statusbar invisible - Again. It is API limitation. I wanted to do it more than anyone else.

    (3) Home screen lag on GNex - It is graphics driver issue in ICS. The problem is gone if upgrade to 4.1 or 4.2

    (4) Can't pull down statusbar detail in some Apps - Some apps uses different way to draw oepnGL surface which prevents statusbar from fully extended. I am not sure why too. I spent some time to study this before but due to my limited knowledge in openGL programming, so I don't have a good solution yet.
